Default TH475 for sale, WTB Velvet drive

So I have an extremely low mile TH475 (its the 400 with all straight cut gears for the motorhome chassis). Its got only 9k miles on it and ran smooth when I drove the motorhome right before I dismantled it. Its currently sitting in my garage and I dont have enough space between my motor and v-drive to put it.

Would there be any interest in buying it or trading for a good quality velvet drive?

I have a Velvet Drive with low hours but it is a C-71. Not sure what kind of power your running?

I have an aluminum bellhousing and a drive plate for a velvet drive if you end up needing them to go with a drive.

I am not running as much power as I would like, my guess is around 375-400 at the moment. At some point I do plan to add more to it. Where are you located and what do you want for the drive?

Over the weekend I may have stumbled on a deal for a local Velvet drive, C-71 as well. I am just waiting to hear back form my buddy on that.

I think we had this conversation once before. I am in Binghamton NY. Not to far from you at all. I have been told a C-71 will handle 500 HP at the very most. Alot of these Velvet drives came out of cruisers. They usually are either over or under 1to1 ratio. Atleast when I was looking for one that was what I found. I have the Velvet drive and the cooler. It has very low hours on it like 250-300. It was hooked to the front of a AMC 327 so I never got any of the mounts because they were useless. Id like $400 for it.

Im not sure you know this but most of the parts inside those are Ford auto transmission parts!!!

Yes, we've had that conversation. I am extremely forgetful, sorry 'bout that! I should see my buddy this weekend or early next week so I will know if he was able to get the drive from around here. If not, I am definitely down for a drive to Binghamton! Shoot me an email to [email protected]
