Default 460 Ford Turn Key Engine Ready to Run

    make / manufacturer: Ford
    model name / number: 460
I have a 460 Big Block Ford complete marine engine for sale. It was in a jet boat. The engine has low hours on rebuild from 3 years ago. The boat was used maybe 5 to 6 times each season. If I had to put a number on it I would have to say around 100 hrs but I have no evidence to support that. The reason I am selling it is because I am switching over to Big Block Chevy. The engine runs fine and is in good condition. I can start and run it for you.

    Engine Specifics:
    460 ci
    9:1 compression
    Truck style connecting rods
    Marine cam
    600 cfm Holley Marine Carb
    Edelbrock Performer Intake
    Wet log exhaust manifolds
    Marine Alternator
    Automotive Starter
Prestolite marine distributor with electronic points conversion
    Mallory Marine coil
    8 quart oil pan

$1800 obo buyer pays all shipping costs from Cicero, IL. 60804

If you are interested in purchasing just the long block without the marine accessories let me know and we can work out a price.

    you want to trade?

I just bought a Biesemeyer jet boat with a fresh rebuilt 454 (4 bolt, steel crank).
Was told maybe 10 minutes run time.

    Im in Michigan.

Possibly. What other information do you have on it? Year, cam, carb, accessories? Do you have any pics?

to me the Chevy is nothing special.. Just like the ford you have..
do you know the Cast codes on the cyl block and heads of the Ford.?

Chevy - Edel aluminum intake, 850holley, HEI ignition, just a run of the mill engine to me.
