Default Fair Market Value......BBC Block & Crank ???????

What is the real world "going rate" $$ for ........

    * GM Cast iron 454 +.030" over 4-Bolt main Bare block, Block has been hot tanked, maged, fresh bore & hone, cam bearings installed.

    * GM Forged Steel 454 Crankshaft, Ground .01/.01

I have a interested buyer but I'm not sure of their market value.

    Thanks

Is it Mark IV or Gen V or Gen VI stuff ?

I just paid $200 for a factory forged GM Gen VI crank, that was std/std I got it the other day and checked it, it was in great shape

    just an idea,
usually the blocks are worth the cost of machine work that was performed on them if its fresh

Gen V is slightly less desirable than Gen VI or even Mk IV, because it can't easily use the same selection of cylinder heads without the risk of getting water past the head gasket. Depending on who did the machine work, and if it was done properly for a given application,, IE,, street, marine, or forced induction marine would make a difference to me.

The current economy is also a factor, stuff is selling for less right now than you might normally expect. PM if you want me to try and pinpoint dollar values.

Hey Mike...I saw the pics. from your ride with Gary, he's got one of the best looking and strongest running Schiadas on the river. He is one of very few guys that I'd be willing to ride shot gun with at a buck 10!! Looking at the regatta pics. = miss my old ride
