WTB Misc. Gen IV and VI parts...

I have a couple of engines I need to put back together and sell but need a few parts.


I am looking for the following:

Gen VI 454 crank.. either cast or forged will work fine.

Gen VI rods... I think I only need 3 or 4 not quite sure I'll have to check again..

Gen VI roller cam, lifters, dogbones, and retainer..

Gen VI rectangleor oval port heads... Don't need to be anything special (it was originally a 310 hp engine)

Gen VI intake to mach whatever heads come up..


Gen IV Rectangle port heads.

Possibly a flat tappet cam and lifters. (I have the original 454 mag cam but didn't keep track of which holes the lifters came from....)



Let me know what ya'll got....

......Don't need anything "pretty" or new....

Just figure I can get more out of them if they're in running condition.

Generation VI (6) 30 over 454 with vortex heads (no carb, starter or distributor) Block # 10237297. 4 bolt main block with the main caps, crank, rods, pistons, lifters, valley pan, heads cam, timing gears and chain. This has been sitting for a while $650.00 or best offer.

I've got a set of 7/16 bolt rods, the complete 450hp roller cam setup,etc
from a 502 crate motor, but only one good square port head. I'll take 250.00 for everything , including a 8qt merc pan if your interested! I just
need to get MY boat back together

I have some Gen IV parts. Could you use a crank, oil pan, flywheel and balancer, and a timing chain cover?

Gen IV takes a 2 pice rear seal crank. Gen V & VI have a 1 piece and also use a different flywheel. But they DO make an adapter to run a gen IV crank in a Gen V block (not sure if it works in the VI as well)..

Gen VI and I think V have taller lifter bosses in the block for the "factory" roller lifters but can accept flat tappet cams as well.

Gen IV would need a tie bar style lifter if going to a roller cam.

The Gen VI cam has a step in the nose of the cam and uses a retainer plate. Gen IV and V cams will work in a VI but I don't think the Gen VI cam will work in either of the others.

Gen IV heads won't work well on a gen V block without special gaskets but will work on a Gen VI block.

The GEN IV block has a fuel pump mount while the Gen V and VI do not..

The oil filter mounting pads are different on the Gen IV than the V or VI

Thats all I can think of at the moment....
