    Default need front motor plate for small block chevy

    pretty much ready to bolt in a motor.. just need front motor plate.. does anyone have anything lying around?

    Their not that easy to find used. I have been looking over a year for a used one to replace my home made one . I have seen a couple on eBay but been out bid every time .Thear seams to always be a few people people bidding on them.


    To make mine i just used a piece of cardboard to make a template .Then traced it onto a piece of aluminum diamond plate then cut it out with a jig saw. then used a couple pieces of angle iron for the feet to bolt to the stringers

    Might try Jegs or Summit, they have some front plates for sprint cars or modifieds or whatever they're called. You would have to trim them or cut em to size but they look to bolt on using the water pump holes and the two holes on either side of the block in the front. I think they're only 1/4 inch though. Speedway motors also has a couple to choose from.
