J.J @ BeaverFab in covington Tx. has a gear extange program. You send him a good set of gears. cost about 12 dollars to send. J.J. checks them out. IF THEY ARE GOOD HE WILL SEND YOU A GOOD SET IN THE RATIO YOU WANT. If he dosnt have what you need he will call you and tell you what he has. Be sure to send a note with your contact information and return address. Also a check to BeaverFab for 70 dollars 50 for gears 20 to ship them back to you You can serch for BeaverFab on the net for his number leave a message and he will call you back. Anything V-Drive He has or can make you. Good Luck, Racerick

Are gears out of a regular split case 12* the same as for a C-500?

C-500 gears are very different from splitcase gears and that is why the OP is having a hard time finding gears. Someone had a set of 22's available a couple of weeks ago but got no response and said F**& It.

Maybe give Tom Bently a call from Menkins V-Drive. I think he relocated to Red Bluff. I dont have his number of hand but I think his contact info. is on his web site. he will find or possibly make you a set. RACERICK

I have a C-500 at my shop but I think it has 15's in it but not sure. Next time I am there I will double check the ratio. Casale has gears but they are very costly. It would be cheaper to put a split case in the boat. C-500's are a real pain to open up also!

Any thing more on the C-500 at your shop? and how much $$$ do you think the cost would be?? A split case may work, the boat is a Campbell 21' I do not know what it would take to put in.
