2 blocks away at Van Ness and 70th installing a gas tank in a van for a customer. He comes out and tells my brother and I "you white boys better get out of here while you still can , fools are rioting 2 blocks away and you know how [email protected]#$%s can be" by the way he was a black guy. So we high tailed it out of there and watched it on tv in a bar in Montabello. Went back a week later and finished the job.
I love winters on the river, it is never crowded and all the best beaches are available
    Did someone say cocktails??????????

My Dad was a Snap-On dealer in the vicinity at the time. We were supposed to go to Parker that weekend and were waiting for him to get home. I remember him telling me that at every stop he made, his customers would come out heavily armed. I know that he was driving his Snap-On truck with his Smith&Wesson .357 on his dash for everyone to see. It was a scary time waiting for him and his fully stocked truck to get home safely. I've grown since then and have collected my own "defensive" weapons...

BPI was in the mess, the smoke was bad, fools all around, constant shots fired. Friend of mine killed three, then the brass took him off of the street. Amazing how so few died knowing what occurred. Internally it was the most dificult for black officers, especally the ones that grew up in the area. Difficult for all since the area was doing so well economically comareed to years past. It hurt since you always did your best to forward justice for the victims of crime.

As far as the press now, did you notice who NO photos are show of the dozens of "kill Police-187", Fuck Whites" etc., painted on walls. Not one. Now the area is basically 70% hispanic, but still so many gangsters who would go for it in a NY second. Alot of parolees too. Note the recent USC crimes, unusual, but parole housing are just blocks away from SC, an easy walk.

I moved from Utah to the Dallas/Ft worth area 9 years ago and it was the biggest mastake of my life! I'm moving back west/north to either southern Utah or maybe Havasu. Texas thinks its the wild west but its a liberal shit hole compaired to Utah/Arizona. You cant open carry, theres no public land to 4wheel, ride dirt bikes or even shoot/hunt on here in Texas plus the humidity sucks. All of our dirt bikes i just leave in Utah, theres no where to ride them down here. My guns just collect dust intill i take them with us up to Utah on vacation to do some shooting/hunting! I could go on for pages but...
    Nice!
