That being a boating site and a pleasant place to view and hang out. It is basically a dumping ground for undesirable threads that have not yet reached a point of locking, editing, or removal.
    So Gray Water is purgatory.....

Makes sense to me. If I want to read drama, I know directly where to go.
The more I have thought about it the more I agree with it. Once again PB comes thru with flying colors.... (gray is a color)

You know to be honest I never really looked in benchracers too often (if ever) over at HB, so I wouldn't know. In this case, if Rex says my benchracers comparison was off then I will agree as he has far more relevant experience than I do there.

Gray Water is not a free for all, anything goes forum, and if things get out of hand down there they will disappear completely.

I was actually thinking about the restaurant vs. the bar analogy but you beat me to it.

I don't like censorship either, but there is responsibility with "free" speech.
I'd be none to happy if I took my family out to eat and had to listen to a big group of people in the corner arguing, cussing and talking about things that have their own time and place.

Example not for the open forum:

"FU** YOU PAL! I guarantee my boat's faster and after I get done whoopin your a** on the water, your old lady has to give me b***job"

OK I get it but I'm not for it. This site was supposed to be better than that.
If the admins want special HB drama lite forum thats fine with me.
I think ALL personal attacks and harrassment should be grounds for time out. It is on every other civilized internet forum.
The argument that all these valid important threads were being lost on page 3 of the sandbar is true but were they really THAT important.
If the admins want such a viable grey forum why is it buried by the test forum? Shouldn't it be right next to open water?
Maybe it should just be called "grey matter" since it has no real purpose in life.
That being said I think PB.C is an awsome site.

Rex cleared this up a bit, but I will reiterate. If a thead gets too out of control it will go away. Sometimes the criteria for being out of control might simply be how long it runs for.

As far as it's location, I put it down at the bottom because it is the furthest thing from a legit forum. I nearly called it the "Short Bus."

Gray Water is a way for me to kill threads without killing them. Plain and simple.
