    Default Divorce Rate in Havasu

Trying to be polite here and not hijack another thread but thought this was interesting...

Mine was on the downhill slide when we moved to Havasu, that just sealed the deal. I have my own reasons, but anyone else care to expand on the reasons for this, and or if it is as bad in other area's of the US? Sad actually.

Infidelity and a lack of understanding on the commitment of marriage. Kinda cheesy I know but I believe many people have taken the position it is easier to say F it than it is to try to work it out. At least that was how mine went.

With practically every relationship out there, someone is gonna cheat. Not many men can totally keep a woman satisfied forever, especially emotionally... and most women won't take the few minutes out of their day to keep their man satisfied which is usually physically. Hence, people cheat. That's about it in a nutshell.

Thats sounds about right. Marriage is definitely not easy and both parties need to be willing to work on it, constantly.

Life is all about ass, you're either covering it, hauling it, laughing it off, kicking it, kissing it, busting it, trying to get a piece of it, or behaving like one.

Living in a destination vacation spot has major problems dealing with main stream America. You live in a spot that people save money up, to come where you live. Everyone is in a 110% mode. The lifestyle becomes surreal, normal decency takes a back seat to party. I lived in Vail Colo. for 10 years from 20 to 30, I saw most marriages breakup. It's just the lifestyle of to much party. I had to wait till 40 to get married and I'm still not sure I made a good decision. If I didn't have a beautiful daughter. I would not have any connections. It all comes down to controlling your environment or being controlled by it.

I think the marriages were probably shaky in the first place. Many people try a move to a new locale for a "change of pace" to shore up the relationship, but it seldom works.

A move to the river may seem like a way to get "closer", but it usually just dooms the marriage.

Mrs. BoatCop and I will have 30 years together, later this year. Neither has ever "cheated", nor wanted to. And we've never been happier.
