Default Hot boat V Drive regatta

So my friends and I would like to put on a V Drive regatta at our local lake. The lake is in northern CA and sits at about 3000ft. The water is cool in the summer months and so clean you could drink it. The lake is owned by PG&E and open to the public. We just don't know how to go about it? There is no speed limit and no patrolling law enforcement.

Pretty cool little lake. It's just south of Weed just a few miles west of of I5.

You may want to also post this in the vdrive forum. A lot of people are bay area based. We all look for reasons to get out in our money pits.

My wife and I ride up to McCloud at least once a year and stay at the McCloud Mercantile Inn... love that place!!! Kevin and Darlene are great hosts!!! The town of McCloud is really nice too and all the folks we have ever ran into there (at the bars) are very welcoming.

Lake McCloud would be an awesome place to have a bunch of boats. Access would be off Hwy 89 out of the town of Mt Shasta. Then take Squaw Valley road out to the lake. I imagine it will be pretty full this year with the snow and rainfall expected....

Good Luck and keep us informed!
