Ditto that and have been doing it for 11 years. We split the mortgage in 1/2 and I pay all the utilities. We split food costs.

Life is all about ass, you're either covering it, hauling it, laughing it off, kicking it, kissing it, busting it, trying to get a piece of it, or behaving like one.

I pay all the bills. Half my wifes check goes in the bank and the other half is spending money. The way the economy is my check just clears all the bills, so her check is nice to have since we would be siting at home with no money to do anything with out it.

Could I support the fam on my check....yes and I did for 15 years while she raised children
Could I do it if we divorced...hell no!!!
This is a 2 income world for the common family, it takes alot of income to have anything especially in CA.

All I can say is thank god my wife makes a decent living, if I lost my job I could flip burgers and we would still survive on her income.

    NOT bragging just very thankfully

We both work, but I hve and could support our lifestyle with or without her income is not counted on but it's nice to have. If that makes any sense.

Does putting the wife out on the street corner, in the evenings, count as a second income???

If Jeff died, I'd continue with the boating lifestyle because I'd be rich.
