With such an extended economic slump. It's really amazing, how many custom performance Mfgs. still have their doors open. Help me add to the list (they gotta have a web site, place of business, employees that answer a phone, no out of the garage guys)

Everyone who owns one of the boats on this list should be very thankful to these shop owners. They have either come up with a shitload of money to bring a brand back, or dug down deep and sacraficed their own personal assetts to keep it going.

All boat prices are down drastically. But nothing compaired to a company that is out of business. At auction, you can expect 30% less (than the already low prices) for a boat brand that is gone.

So when they told you "our boat holds it's value better than brand X" they were correct, and are proveing it daily, as they battle to stay in business, spending their hard earned savings from the past.

Or filed bankruptcy in order to relieve them of their business debt and keep their personal assets. ;)

Htm 2

Thank you for posting this Yes HTM is still here, and we are one of the smaller ones, through this crisis we have sold all but 2 of our used boats, I (CALE)came back to HTM in Novemeber, And have my performance shop at HTM this was one way of keeping our prices down, so we can build you an HTM at a better price, we are building new boats again, The first one goes out the door March it is a 24ft SR closed bow the top is all Carbon fiber. good luck to the new owner, he is excited. We still like to have fun on the lake even though our daily lives are a struggle with this said HTM is having a2011 Regatta, With Carder Performance and Marine, It wont be like years before still a great time. This year our plan is to have 5 get togethers, Memorial day weekend, 4th of JULY, one other weekend than labor day weekend, we will have another special week we havent planned yet this will be the Regatta weekend It is still in the works,we will be filming all summer and in Sept we will be showing the film in the shop with a great party. Look us up on either web site, WWW.htmperformanceboats.com or www.carderperformanceandmarine.com Thanks Cale and Rhonda Carder

Let's hope that 2011 brings these manufacturers a little more buisness and that things continue to improve in the upcoming years also a little at a time. Lot of good people in the boating world and it wold be nice to see them get back to a little bit of normalcy again. Plus new boats always make everyone happy around here. :D
