TOAD just repainted it. The motors used to be really big, like 700cu motors. They are now rebuilt, are smaller, but have a set of Whipple 8.3's.......I think right under 1100hp each.
The boat flat out moves. I can't believe something like that can accelerate like it does and handle the big ocean water. Pump gas too!
Nope the Geico TG didn't race!!! The kilo was racing, but didn't like that a company built on its racing past couldn't build a race boat themselves. Skater built it and used their V bottom with a cig deck I believe. I still like Cigarette, just don't like that since 03 and updating their boats, they really are not building "race" bred machines and they are not using the lattest race materials in their construction. More like a Nortech. In the car business its called badge engineering.
Has Cig updated its decks since the 70's? It looks like shag carpeting may be on the options list for both Cig and Appache...
