We just launched a new navigation bar. Things were getting too crowded in the nav bar area and to launch some of the new content sections of the site a new system was needed. I think it will make browsing the site significantly easier and more organized.
I am open to suggestions. If there are buttons or sections that should be added that are not present please let me know. This has been iPad and iPhone tested and it retains only 1st level functionality. Nothing critical is stored on 2nd level so you should be just fine.
On the note of iPhones and iPads, I am working on an HTML 5 alternative player for the video section of the site.
Search should be off to the right with advanced search next to it. I can add a drop down button to either the forums or PB tab.
I took the stuff out of quick links and added it to Forums > Forum Actions. I didn't move everything, so I will go back and integrate your suggestions.
I thought I added calendar under PB > Event Calendar but apparently not. I will go fix that now. I will also add who's online.
If you have a lower resolution monitor that could happen. I will look at moving the Manufacturer tab into the forums drop down to shorten it up a bit more. I did duplicate a search button under the Forums tab.
So the new nav bar has been active all day. Other than a few suggestions there doesn't seem to have been much fall out (a f**king miracle right there). Is everyone basically happy with the functionality? I find myself using it to drill down to the bottom of the forums quickly. Would it be beneficial to create further menu levels into the actual forums instead of just the sections?
You know what I really like is this little latest post button right here.
NO more scrolling to bottom of thread you read earlier... :thumb:
