The only name at the end of the powerpoint is Rodrigo O Tecelao. Probably who compiled and made the pp file. Just guessing. No names I could see on the photos other than one had Kimo signed on it.

I am guessing he means the approach to the bridge from the Nevada side in Boulder City sucks...which it clearly does...the backup from just the 1 lane curve at the bottom of the 93 hill heading to the bridge from Boulder sometimes causes a back up of over 3 miles for no reason what so ever..
NDOT plans to widen the curve by 2012...With the estimates of over 2200 big rigs traveling over the bridge a day (not counting the vehicle increase) you would figure they would do this at the same time as the bridge project...but low and behold Nevada NDot is a bit slow in their thinking and actions.......

Hey, they (NV peeps) put Harry back into office, so I wouldn't think the state gov would be that sharp either.

I read that they will need water level risen to keep the generators running. Another ~10 feet lower and gravity won't be enough to turn the turbines.

There is plenty of water in Powell to keep Hoover's generators running and they will make sure that happens. Recreation on the lake however is not a big concern in the world of water management so I wouldn't expect to see big gains at Lake Mead without big snowfall in the Rockies for successive years. Powell holds twice the water of lake Mead and is not full but not empty either. http://lakepowell.water-data.com/

Lake Mead water info - http://www.usbr.gov/lc/region/g4000/hourly/rivops.html

That earlier pic btw of the lake being full behind the bridge was an artists rendering from before the bridge was ever built. I've seen it in the past. As soon as I get a few minutes I'm going to post the pics up from both that powerpoint file and the ones I took of the dam and bridge.

    Sorry Rex this ain't true.
So there isn't a mix up here, AT Full Pool Lake Mead holds about 1.5 million more AF of water than Lake Powell but right now Lake Powell has about 3.2 million AF of water more than Mead.
Lake Mead is the largest Res. in the country at full pool of AF of water.

you can thank the CEO and Harrahs corp..many news stories of the union pushing their employees in fact taking them by bus to vote...and guess what Harrahs was HR's largest supporter...needless to say we do NOT go into any Harrahs owned properties any longer...
