Default Do you find it tough to find time to read the entire magazine?

I subscribed to Hot Boat back in the day and now Performance Boats. There's no question, they have published some really solid work.

Lately, I find it tough to find time to read the magazine. Every time I walk by the latest PB issue on the coffee table in my office, I think, "Oh yeah... I need to make some time to read the article regarding the influence of alcohol on boating." I'll bet I've picked up the magazine to read that article and been interrupted a dozen times.

I read most of the articles but there have been some that have slipped into the stack of back issues before I got around to reading them. Clearly, the problem has nothing to do with the length of the articles. It's likely just a reality of mid 40s life for someone who is working hard to survive. PB is the only magazine I subscribe to. It's not even all that thick of a publication so it seems a bit crazy I can't find the time to read every article.

    Is this a common story?

    I have the same problem.
I also subscribe to SI, mostly because my niece sells them to make $ for her school. All I read in SI are the jokes. I only read a long article on something that is not going to be handled the same anywhere else, for instance like a kid dying while playing football,
I read the newspaper at lunch, which means I scan the front page, editorials, and Dilbert.
Wasting too much time in the PRF, I guess.
In PB, frankly I'd rather read about cool boats or new developments in boats/engines. But I am glad for an article on alcohol, because it is not going to be handled well anywhere else, meaning I want the slant of lifetime boaters, like me. What can they add that I don't know? I already have my opinion, which is that beer tastes better on a boat. On the one hand, you shouldn't be falling down drunk running your boat. On the other hand, the day the govt. takes my beer, is a good day for armed revolt.
I shall read the article this week.

Kilr, do you mean you would actually prefer to see more "appropriately dressed" women on the boats?

Nice. Tom, if you don't get one of these, just do what I do. Keep it on top of the tank.

When I toured the shop of a west coast custom boat builder, I couldn't help but notice a stack of penthouse and other stroke mags in the rigging facility. They were older issues but remain topical to this day.

In case you're wondering, the shop seemed relaxed and content.
