Wind at 6:48 still 20-25 MPH or so, but in the last half hour it seems to be really tapering off with the sun rising. No more strong gusts now.

It's 59 degrees, and I had to turn the furnace on. The wind is strong enough that I can tell my lovely assistant won't help me put the boat in the water, something about just haveing gotten the gelcoat repaired this week.....

apparently it's been awhile since you last rode in a 18ft. flatty ? on anything other than "flat" water ....................we went out last night, rougher than a rope shirt !!.....we were out long enough to see it was gonna STAY rough. Get back to the ramp about 6:30, the 'ol man sez "let's just sit here for a little bit, it MIGHT just blow over & glass off at sundown "
