    Default Oil filter

    Can you cross referance an oil filter for mercruiser 7.4 454 to an auto filter. I am looking to save money by doing the oil changes my self and looking for advice on the filter. Let me know what you guys recomend. Thanks

    It is the standard small and big block chevy short filter. Same one for 350 454 502 and 496. I use the Mobil 1 filter (mainly because its black and matches the engine) but also check out this guy's (who has way too much time on his hands) site.

    K&N HP 3002 for the tall one 2002 for the short one
