I just noticed they had a whole row of "Courtesey docks" just to the south side of the cove.

Was there yesterday and the signs were posted every 15ft (from north of the courtesy docks all the way around the cove) and it was $20 for two hours and it was a noise free zone. The security guard was taking his new job serious and pacing back and forth with his clipboard and watch in hand. Not a very good move as we saw many, many boats pull in and pull right back out.

will never understand short-sighted business decisions....if they are trying to make the turtle and the associated pool/etc. exclusive to nautical guests, that is clearly their right...
over the past few weeks, my observations are that the pool bar is dead...have not seen more than 5 people at a time....the turtle crowd is waaaay off from years past....fewer live bands....crappier service....

paying 20 dollars to beach my boat for two hours...not going to happen....

like it or hate it.....pull up to the docks at PC and a person is there to assist...bar service and food quality way improved....live entertainment (ok, the reggae dj dude sucks but.....) ... service out to the palapas....

time will tell on their "strategy"....

When I first read this, I thought it was a joke. What a huge mistake!!!! You mean to tell me you can't park free, go in eat lunch and have a overpriced beer anymore? Sheeeeeez.

I was there the week prior to the 4th, parked in the east part of the Beach that says "Visitors". we were there for 2 days with my brother (and no I wasn't staying at the nautical). No one said anything to us.. but they were installing the signs around the rest of the cove (guest section). Is the visitor section still there for the bar, or did they put the signs all the way around the Bar?
I'd agree with you, but then we would both be wrong

The signs were all the way around the bar to the first set of courtesy docks. Also the first set of courtesy docks were completely destroyed. Caution tape around the whole thing and most the decking was gone or damaged (maybe from our last huge monsoons). Did not see any signs on the south side of the docks.

Not sure about that. I pulled up between the docks and beached with others and there was no signs there. Seemed what most others had done also.

Just spoke to somebody there who said 10.00. Hasn't been implemented yet, but you will get a voucher to use at the bar.

    Default clarification... mmm?

I was at the turtle a few days ago and saw new signs. I never read them.

I parked my boat on the beach and my guests and I walked right up to the turtle to have early dinner and drinks.

I, just like several of you enjoy the location and visit there often! I WILL NOT be paying anyone to park my boat on a beach when I am coming to spend money on dinner/ drinks with the guests on my boat!

This raises concern and got my attention almost immediately as I have a couple of events coming up at the Nautical. Some of the guests from one of the events told me they were being charged for "reserved parking" in the cove. This, however was not in my contract, so any charges will be removed for these guests as these new changes were made after my contract with them was already done.

With a follow up call today, I asked the questions directly about the new signs and new charges for hotel guests and visitors of the the turtle.

Here is what I was told,
There are new signs posted. Parking for non-resort guests is $10, with a 2 hour limit. A voucher for $10 is given to the guest and can be used at the store, and the Turtle for food/drink...
Resort guests have the option to reserve a spot for a fee.

On a side bar note... there has been a new GM and lots of changes over the last 6 weeks at the Nautical Resort and the Turtle Bar.

Hope this helps set some at ease.

PB member says $50, a RD member says $20.... Throttle's deal is $10

I just called myself to check on this since I had reservations next month and I spoke directly to the GM and was told that if I wanted to beach my boat in front of the room, it would be an additional $50.00 per night on top of the room rate charge. I can't believe this could possibly be good business for them, since I'm sure one of the main reasons people stay there is due to the easy access those rooms provide with the beach parking.
