Here is a pic I took of the grave. What surprised me most about Graceland was what a busy 4 lane street it was on. I expected it to be in a secluded neighborhood, not one of the main drags through town. Loved the tour though. The last pic (crappy pic) is his Multi-Media room.

When EP purchased Graceland in 57, there was very little else around. The town built up, commercialized and then deteriorated over the
last 30 years. It used to be a nice quiet neighborhood.

Thanks King Creole!! I thought that was probably the case. I have always been an EP fan. Even though I was only 8 at the time, I still remember walking in the front door seeing the news. I have seen most of his movies...Clambake being my favorite since it involved boat racing. RIP Elvis & Bill Bixby!!

One more thing. When I went to Graceland. I was in Nashville and really wanted to go to Graceland. No one in my group wanted to go. So rented a car, drove 3 hours on very little sleep to Memphis. As soon as I was done with the tour, I jumped in the car and drove back 3 hours to Nashville straight to the airport to fly back to Cal. It was definitely worth the 6 hour round trip.

Love the commitment. I am surprised by the number of people on here that are Elvis fans. Elvis fans are almost always GREAT people. I think KAP is correct in his assessment that most people are either Elvis or Beatles fans at their core even though some appreciate both. In 1995 I talked Larry and company into producing a 1 shot on Elvis. It launched my other "career" in the Elvis collectibles world while working at Hot Boat.

P.S. Paging Ray Lee he is hardcore Elvis fan as well.

Did someone page me here? Hey KAP!

Yep... Guilty as charged. Huge ELVIS fan and I like to think, only second to KING CREOLE himselvis. It is true that Chris is too big in stature to fit in to Elvis' wardrobe.

However, I don't have that problem. On one visit, Chris was generous enough to let me "play" with a TON of memorabilia and actually WEAR Mr. Presley's stuff. One of the coolest things experienced as an ELVIS fan and still one that I cherish. As Redneck knows, I always carry the pictures of me wearing King's jumpsuits.

    Thank you Chris!

If you cut off the goatee and have a voice; we can go out on tour as Elvis and The Colonel.
You've got the look but do you have the "chops."

    HA!

Goatee can be shaved in an instant! I like the idea... And I believe I DO have the "chops".

Unfortunately, just can't GROW the "chops".
