Default Spruce Goose Dome is a movie set

After Howard Hughes' Hercules, he hated the name Spruce Goose, was shipped to Seattle, the Dome that housed it has become a Hollywood movie set for such notable films as Batman and Jack Frost.

    keeping with this theme.

treasure island (S.F.) warehouses were used to film a number of movies, a few Robin William's, & more

The Hughes plant in Culver City where the goose was built was used as a sound stage and special effects for Independence Day, and Avatar, and some others.

Independence Day is a great film. Interesting note on Treasure Island.

The old Boeing plant in Downey is now Downey Studios.

Talking about the old SG Dome, the Port of Long Beach so good at attracting movie studios because they actually have a department that's sole responsibility is to meet with the studios. When I worked down in the port, I remember having to meet with location managers when they wanted to use our terminal. While talking with them about the premise to the show, you knew right then that you'd probably never see it on TV! Some really bad ideas.

We (and many others) do a lot of filming at the building next to the one with the "DC Jets" sign, over near Long Beach Airport.

They filmed a ton of stuff for Transformers 3 there, too.
