I want to retain employees. That's important too. Bottom line on expenses is important, but also in the exact opposite way you are thinking. Spending more on health insurance increases my expenses which lowers my tax liability which is also important.

And yes the $608 per month insurance is the kind of insurance that makes hospitals want to assign you a personal ass wiper. Just trying to show you that #1 it's not just millionaires that have lavish insurance plans since even my lowest employees making $10 an hour have this kind of coverage. And #2 it ain't cheap.

By the way, insurance companies typically age bracket the premiums instead of doing a cost average anymore. I pay $280 for males in their 20s, $440 for females in their 20s and $922 for someone in their late 50s (After child bearing age is passed, premiums between male and female get a lot closer). If this isn't incentive to discriminate based on age and sex in hiring, I have no idea what would be. I'm sure it happens quite a bit. And the average age of my employees is 42, so no I don't discriminate. I prefer older employees that are past that period of "stupid" everyone goes through. But imagine the employers out there that have a job a monkey could do. I'm sure there's a horrible amount of discriminating going on there. Someone in their 60s needing some supplemental income in retirement doesn't have a chance at that job.

I dissagree with your claim hospitals are to blame. I blame the government. They are allowing illegals to flood the ER and not pay a dime. Get them the hell out of our country and the problem is solved. We will also save in other areas as well with those money suckers gone!!

Didn't say or mean hospitals were to blame completely. Just the way they charge and get paid. That involves the insurance company too and the government because of how ERs are required to treat patients under EMTALA. Instead of passing Obamacare, they should have amended EMTALA as part of their health care agenda. EMTALA forced hospitals to transfer the burden of costs from the people that can't pay to those that can. Now Obamacare is trying to do the same thing. EMTALA was Obamacare version 1.0. Since they didn't like how the costs of healthcare were being shifted by the hospitals, the government got involved again and passed Obamacare to shift it another way to see if it works better. How about they just get their nose out of it since we didn't have near this big of a problem till they started getting involved back in the 80s. Some 55% of emergency care goes unpaid. Ugh rant over for now.

Nothing against Ann Romney she seems like a nice lady. I don't know how long she has been afflicted. But poor and middle class mothers have these types of problems too. Obviously a much more difficult situation for them than for a multi-millionaire's wife.
So when hypocritics like Romney and the wealthy rightie congressmen come out against easily afforable and no pre-existing conditions exemption health care when they have the best health care tax money or their own money can buy .....people are put off by it.

Who is going to pay the delta between what a homeless guy can afford and what the "easily affordable/no pre-existing condition" actually cost Z??? You and ME??? We are already paying more than we can afford for medicaid peeps...
