Yes, but the case was dropped because of case history.
The "courts" find cops are ALWAYS justified in who they kill.
That happens in almost every police department across the country - particularly when the police investigate the police which is almost always the case. The average citizen has no hope of justice against the police unless there is overwhelming video evidence that has not been confiscated by the police and has made it to the public.
If that hadn't happened in the Kelly Thomas case, or in the New Years Day BART case those cops would still be on the street guaranteed.
