    Default Gas Prices?

So here it is July, peak travel season, and fuel is cheaper now than in months. Where is that $6 per gallon fuel that President Obama himself was going to impose upon us pickup-driving, boat-loving, horsepower-hungry Americans?

To use your rationale gas prices were $1.77 per gallon when your Kenyan hero took office. Can you explain how we got here.

The real sad thing with this is two-fold, in my opinion Rod.
    * The oil companies now have us saying "Hey it's only $3. a gallon" as if that's somehow great.
    and
    * Despite what the president says, our nation's drilling permits have been drastically cut back giving other countries the production edge.

I'd like to know why diesel isn't coming down much.

It's the least expensive motor fuel here in Arizona (if you want to call $3. per gallon least expensive.)

Biden cut a deal with the Saudi's to increase production during the campaign. It's well known if you read. They took a huge hit because of rising prices and the Keystone deal, so Biden was over there to beg them for help during their re-election.

Add that to the fact that people can't afford to go anywhere of their policies affect on unemployment so use is down, and you have a lower price. SO there you go, make sure that people can't afford it and use will go down. That's Obama's ideology.

Zero couldn't get re-elected if gas was free

Looks like Obama gave a waiver to China to buy oil from Iran to ease the oil market for his own re-election. Looks lile those sanctions are working!!! (note sarcasm).
Obama only cares about his own re-election and is willing to put the Iranian people's, the Israeli's and all the middle east's, as well as the US's safety in jeopardy in order to help himself.
Iranian oil waivers, security leaks, Fast & Furious? What an ignorant idiot!!

WTF? Regular here is $2.99 and yet diesel is still $3.59. That goes for Texas also because I was in Dallas this weekend.

It is pretty odd that prices are down 20% over the past month or so.

Hmm, I believe the Bush family has also been accused of manipulation during election seasons. Dunno whether it's valid.

Diesel seems to run 30 -40 cents more around here.

    Hmm.
First one is from March, the second is from June 28.

Taken together, one might speculate that Obama will do NOTHING about Iran til after the election, to keep oil prices down.
Other factors: China supposedly has been refusing deliveries from ships already in its ports - buying a lot less of everything as their econ. slows.
The US has been importing less for a couple years, finally some downward pressure on prices..

Policy will always have some effect, usually temporary, on prices. DEMAND is the big deal and as powerfull as Obama-almighty is, not even he can curb demand in the BRIC's. And yes, I get the supply side as well but we all know that oil companies aren't in the business of producing so much that they lower their profit.

Unfortunatley I am not burning as much fuel as I would like this summer but I will sure do my best next chance I get.
