    Chinese mining in Afghanistan...

SO, I was talking to a friend that just returned from Afghanistan a few days ago and I asked him “who is doing the mining and getting the natural resources that Afghanistan is FLUSH with……..

    His reply, CHINA………

"MCC, for example, is 44% owned by the Chinese government. When MCC entered into negotiations with the government of Afghan President Hamid Karzai, it offered substantial aid for resource development as part of the package, Yeager says. The United States, on the other hand, has no program to support U.S. mining companies with development assistance or other aid.

The irony is that it is U.S. government geologists and Western companies that are locating the vast mineral deposits that the Chinese and Russians are exploiting in Afghanistan.

"The problem with the Chinese is that they are developers of resources and not explorers of resources," Yeager says. "They will look at projects where they already have a reserve in place and then go out and buy it. They don't spend the risk capital and the exploration dollars."

According to Yeager, the countries that are doing the most exploration are Australia and Canada. But they also don't pay bribes to local officials or provide vast amounts of state aid to the government in return for valuable mining licenses."

The Borax mine in Boron, CA is British-Australian owned. I'm sure you can go around the US and point to hundreds of mines that are not US owned.

The US wouldn't want to be criticized as going to war for resources. That's the only guess I have of why we don't take royalties off oil fields and other natural resources in Iraq and Afghanistan.

All the while we give them money so they will be our friends.

China has been buying up businesses in the US like crazy!! Who do you think is now buying the oil from Canada. Oh, and BTW, China is now drilling for oil in the gulf. You know, that oil that Obama won't let us drill for.

US = Uncle Stupid. We spend billions, thousands die, thousands wounded and then the Chinese government make profits without losing a drop of Chinese blood ...

But think of all the billions our warmonger industries and rebuilding industries made off the American taxpayers. Those crafty Chinese didn't get in on that scam! I don't think ???? Then again maybe they made our military uniforms . Weren't Army berets made in China??

I think it's absurd that our fallen families do not get at least their pay adjusted with the current military pay for at least 50 years.

So if they were KIA as an E-7 with 16 years of service, in 5 years their family still gets paid at the current rate for an E-7 with 16 years of service. Again, at a minimum.

This can be paid for by oil and natural resources of these countries we are freeing from terrorist and brutal dictators. In return they get democracy and/or fair law.
