Of course they were able to bring the comment to life with pictures that suit his words but its really eerie isn't it!

I can't take myself back to 1965 to have my own perspective from that time frame but I can hear his words from that time and visualize the images without even watching the video!

Got you beat by 16 years. CS Lewis' Screwtape Purposes a Toast. It a little long, and it helps if your read his book The Screwtape Letters. But if you take the time to read it, its scary to know that their were people back then that saw this coming, and WHO was going to do it. Interesting what he says about the word Democracy, and how its viewed as a "good" no matter the what the actions done its name. Get them to believe its democratic, and its 'atuomatically' the right thing to do.

    Interesting indeed!

The only difference from his satire then and the population today, are the efforts made by the media and political left in brainwashing the masses in the name of democracy!

His words are eloquent and precise. The very things that infringed upon our liberties in the name of democracy were in the early stages of exploding during his time. I think all of this combined explicitly differentiates the two sides. The one who holds truth and the other that holds beliefs.

Those of us who line up on the right hold on to our Republic by self evident truths that we were created equal, while the left holds to creating equality in the name of democracy.

This comment comes from your link:

The Trade Unionist stuffed with sedition was perhaps a shade better. He had done some real harm. He had, not quite unknowingly, worked for bloodshed, famine, and the extinction of liberty. Yes, in a way. But what a way! He thought of those ultimate objectives so little. Toeing the party line, self-importance, and above all mere routine, were what really dominated his life.

It's all self evident how in the name of democracy the left has been able to control your mind and your actions.

CVX is a perfect example. He believes in America and success at the same time he supports the policy that is destroying both of those things.

After 20 plus pages on GM and Toyota he admits that the smug, liberal morons drive the japanese built prius made popular and successful by those smug liberal morons who year after year align themselves with anyone on the left.

Find me a treehugger who votes Republican. Disguised as democracy, subscribing to a union is suppose to make you more American than the rest of us even though that policy destroys made in America.

I have no problem that evangelists side on the right because they hold to freedom of liberty and the right to life. A belief against abortion and a stand on procreation are not bad attributes combined with forgivness.

What I take from both Harvey and Lewis is that turning people against church and religion is what destroys humanity not the other way around.

In other words, for me, I'm Catholic and not a very good one. The kind that shows up for religious holidays. Judge me if you want. Regardless, I believe in God and a moral society. I do not take offense to Scott or Doc or 2MM in their beliefs. I know they are just that, their beliefs. I don't think anyone should have to apologize for what their beliefs are nor should they force their beliefs on others. You would have to take personal responsiblity if you did let someone force their beliefs on you because we are of the free will to believe what we want.

Religion like race or sexuality is just a ploy to divide people. Because someone holds beliefs against gay marriage or abortion, doesn't make them hate the people that are gay or have abortion. We can't expect them to conform to your thinking and vice versa.

The answers to all those things are held in our Constitution. If we all subscribed to how it works.
From the outside looking in, my opinion is that the anti Christian anti religion folks want to destroy it opposed to the Christians and religious folks wanting to impose their beliefs on the individual.

If the liberal , progressive tree hugging left get their way, this is what our grandchildren and their children will be living in.

By 2030 it is expected that an estimated 4 billion people will live in eco-cities, which are controlled environments where sustainability mandates how much water, energy, food and production is allowed in urbanized areas.

Another thing regarding religion that is over looked.

Muslims practice Islam which is not only religion but a political ideologue ( Sharia Law ) which can not and should not be ignored. That is called naive or ignorant imo.

The left pushes discrimination at the expense of Christian beliefs to protect islamic beliefs. Which creates discrimination towards a group of people that are not even correctly identified creating a confusion of what Islam is and who is a muslim.

We are not born to hate, we are taught to hate. Ignorance is not knowing who you hate and why.
