Default Shutting down the 1st Ammendment

A little more democratic hypocrisy from my home state and our lovely "City of Brotherly Love" Shutting down freedom of speech when and where they want to, any time they want to. I guess the Black Panthers now in combination with the Union brotherhood run the city.

Good thing this wasn't my daughter.

Although I am not to sure that I would have handled it the same way, the girl did it perfectly. No insane screaming and name calling. I am sure she was probably the more adult of the two in the class.

The constitution fits them when and where they like. Would have interesting to see what the ignorant teacher would have said if another kid walked in right then wearing a OZERO shirt.

I agree the young lady handled it very well.
If it was my daughter, I would make sure everyone and anyone heard what I had to say. I would buy everyone who wanted a Romney Ryan tshirt, a tshirt, and load them all up in the car with an artilery of Romney, 1st Ammendment , No Democracy here and any other sign I may have missed. I would park my protest outside of the teachers house after school hours, and at the school during school hours, until I was satisfied with the outcome.

It is Philadelphia, where the Constitution was penned. I would draw loud national attention, similiar to that of Trayvon Martin. By that, I mean in a politicized way that is constantly endorsed by the left. By no means am I comparing a murder regardless of the outcome of the trial, to our constitutional rights.

Default This letter reminds me of the young lady with the Romney t-shirt

In the wake of the young girl in this video, I thought I would share another young womans perspective, she's also too young to vote but they both offer us a little faith in the future.

A beautiful and incredibly articulate letter from a 17 year old young lady following the Oct 4 presidential debate. She just graduated after 13 years of homeschooling.

There is hope for the future because there are young people like Fern Catherine Pratt. Thank you, Fern!

"I was talking with a friend about the Presidential debate tonight, and I had the opportunity to express myself, and my "political views.
    I'm part of a minority.
I am a college age student, with a firm grasp of politics, and a strong belief in our country's constitution. I also believe in freedom of speech, and the freedom to form our own opinions.
I may not yet be old enough to vote, but I urge those who have that privilege to use it.
I have been raised with the knowledge that as a human being, and an American, I have the gift of freedom of speech. I, and our generation, have been given this gift by our predecessors.
The men and women who believed in a dream so much, they fought and died to make it come true. I will always feel completely humbled by this.
You can't take this for granted. It's a matter of voicing your opinions, making a statement. Not being afraid to make yourself heard. You have to believe in it.
Be passionate! I'm passionate about God and Country. I'm passionate about our Constitution, our rights as free people. I'm passionate about America, and everything we've always stood for. I'm passionate about our military, and service men & women.
I'm not ashamed, or afraid of expressing myself. I will tell people what I think. And I don't mind if you don't agree with my "politics".
It's your right as an American to disagree with me, if you choose. I respect that, and hope that you can show me that same respect. I refuse to be silenced based on "tolerance".
If what I write offends you so much, that you can't simply "not 'Like' it", then feel free to unfriend me. That's your RIGHT.
Please, vote in this coming election. Vote for who YOU like. Who you believe has America's best interests at heart.
As for me? I'll be rooting for Mitt. Not because I'm a Republican, but because I'm a Patriot, who loves her country."

    ~ Fern Catherine Pratt.

Oh! One of those type. One of those that thinks we should vote for the good of the country, not whats good FOR ME! One that thinks you should vote for a patriot, not forn one that is willing to kick the constitution across the floor "because its seems like the right thing to do" because the constitution was written by rich white men for rich white men.

I would take an informed voter over an ignorant voter any day however most young people would vote who ever Jay-Z or Emminem told them to vote for.

The kids throughout this thread shed a little hope on future generations. The tides are slowly turning back to our roots.

The informed ones will be the ones the government has names of and end up in the ditch because they are educated, successful and can think on their own just like every other change of power to communism, socialism or other type of related government throughout history.

Samantha says her teacher went on to tell her that she couldn’t wear ‘a Republican shirt in a Democratic school.’
    WTF???

This is very cool! Mitt Romney called Samantha! Romney calls girl at center of T-shirt controversy

The outcome of the teacher is still under investigation.
