Default AUTOS: Suzuki Calls It Quits In U.S.

American Suzuki Motor Corp. is pulling out of the United States and filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, the automaker announced today

The bankruptcy affects only the U.S. arm of Suzuki and not the Japanese parent company, Suzuki Motor Corp. Suzuki motorcycle and marine sales are separate entities that are not affected by the bankruptcy and will continue business in the U.S. as usual, the company said.

Sadly, I'm not at all surprised and think we will see more of this of Noblaimo is re-elected.

I'm not a GM fan but i would never want them to fold. Any business or company folding is very bad for the economy and this country.

If Obama get re-elected, you're going to see a lot of that. Can't buy things if you don't have a job. If no one's buying things, more people lose their job. It's a vicious cycle that the dems and liberals don't understand.

    It's Obama's fault!

    He thinks he is.

The economy is going to go into another recession after this is not a depression. You think the big three will be selling cars in that environment? What does that do to other businesses?
When you take money from the businesses and the wealthy, they take their game somewhere else. Obama cannot legislate jobs. He needs tax revenue from somewhere. If businesses cannot be sustained here they will leave or fold. If he doesn't come to the center, we are screwed. Just the plain facts.
Things that those who have lived their lives sucking off the government will never understand that. I've worked in international business for three decades now. Our industry will do well with more companies going offshore. That is until no one can afford anything here. By then either we'll have gone completely broke or the American people will wake up and elect someone that knows how the economy works and doesn't have a socialist agenda..
