    Default I don't get it...

I don't understand all the sudden drama and dispair, as if something happened suddenly yesterday.
Have all you people been asleep for the last 40 yrs?
What, the water starts boiling and all of a sudden you realize it's hot????

    Wake up people.
Beyond all our good reasoning, beyond all our good logic and sense of right and wrong, and beyond that which stood before us and was completely obvious , this man was re-elected.
    How?
    Why?
    I'll tell you.
There is a spiritual evil in this world that is hard at work and had a little victory yesterday... but to the contratry, there is also a spiritual good in this world who is far greater than that evil and way above and beyond these petty life issues. He is God, our Heavenly Father and we ALL have access to a relationship with Him through His Son, Christ.
In the darkness and madness of this world, see the light and know the peace of God.
If God is your co-pilot, change seats!
Acts 2:38, the perfect answer to the perfect question.

I don't know where you have been for the last six years sir but, you have OBVIOUSLY not been paying attention to the discussions that have taken place here AND the discussions of the political nature at the tail end of HOTBOATs...

MOST of us have put the last decade of our lives into trying to right the course of this train that is going off the cliff and last night thanks to the lies of the "progressives" it all blew up in our face...

Pay attention to what the regulars here are and have been saying for just shy of a decade... We have clearly articulated what we try to teach our children, families, friends, peers at work...

This was a huge loss for the patriots of this nation... You can call me UNpatriotic if you wish, it doesn't matter to me steel, I know the constitution, I know the history of this nation, I know the writings of our founding fathers...

Could it be possible what you are trying to "teach" is flawed? Could it be possible that the majority of Americans can see this flaw and responded accordingly yesterday?

If what Tommy and the rest here have been trying to teach thier children was still taught in our schools, we wouldn't even be having this discussion. The majority of Americans voted against your new commander.

My new commander? If you are talking about our president, he won the popular vote as well as the electorate, so how could the "majority of Americans" have voted against him?

What has suddenly changed is that many of the believers, thought that they would have their prayers answered and Romney would win. We often forget that just because we ask for it, doesn't mean it is in our ultimate best interest. The Lord has a plan and while we may not understand it, we need to accept that he knows what is best for us spirtitually. Our time on this earth is a passing phase. If this elction outcome isn't a test of faith, I don't know what is. I trust the Lord will provide what I need and that I am up to whatever challenges come my way.

Will our country survive? I don't know. Will there be wide spread hungar and social collapse? I don't know. Will the Lord be there to see me though whatever does happen? Absolutely and that is the take away from this election. Put our faith in the Lord, not in the "things" that make us feel comfortable.

Give people a day or two and you will notice who the believers are. They are the ones you can't keep down. The Lord is positive and good. And when you believe and have the Lord in your heart, you can't help but be a good and positive person. Sometimes it takes a while for the positive to recharge.

Fannie Mae Eases Credit To Aid Mortgage Lending

In a move that could help increase home ownership rates among minorities and low-income consumers, the Fannie Mae Corporation is easing the credit requirements on loans that it will purchase from banks and other lenders.

The action, which will begin as a pilot program involving 24 banks in 15 markets -- including the New York metropolitan region -- will encourage those banks to extend home mortgages to individuals whose credit is generally not good enough to qualify for conventional loans. Fannie Mae officials say they hope to make it a nationwide program by next spring.

Fannie Mae, the nation's biggest underwriter of home mortgages, has been under increasing pressure from the Clinton Administration to expand mortgage loans among low and moderate income people and felt pressure from stock holders to maintain its phenomenal growth in profits.

In addition, banks, thrift institutions and mortgage companies have been pressing Fannie Mae to help them make more loans to so-called subprime borrowers. These borrowers whose incomes, credit ratings and savings are not good enough to qualify for conventional loans, can only get loans from finance companies that charge much higher interest rates -- anywhere from three to four percentage points higher than conventional loans.

''Fannie Mae has expanded home ownership for millions of families in the 1990's by reducing down payment requirements,'' said Franklin D. Raines, Fannie Mae's chairman and chief executive officer. ''Yet there remain too many borrowers whose credit is just a notch below what our underwriting has required who have been relegated to paying significantly higher mortgage rates in the so-called subprime market.''

Demographic information on these borrowers is sketchy. But at least one study indicates that 18 percent of the loans in the subprime market went to black borrowers, compared to 5 per cent of loans in the conventional loan market.

In moving, even tentatively, into this new area of lending, Fannie Mae is taking on significantly more risk, which may not pose any difficulties during flush economic times. But the government-subsidized corporation may run into trouble in an economic downturn, prompting a government rescue similar to that of the savings and loan industry in the 1980's.

''From the perspective of many people, including me, this is another thrift industry growing up around us,'' said Peter Wallison a resident fellow at the American Enterprise Institute. ''If they fail, the government will have to step up and bail them out the way it stepped up and bailed out the thrift industry.''
Under Fannie Mae's pilot program, consumers who qualify can secure a mortgage with an interest rate one percentage point above that of a conventional, 30-year fixed rate mortgage of less than $240,000 -- a rate that currently averages about 7.76 per cent. If the borrower makes his or her monthly payments on time for two years, the one percentage point premium is dropped.

Fannie Mae, the nation's biggest underwriter of home mortgages, does not lend money directly to consumers. Instead, it purchases loans that banks make on what is called the secondary market. By expanding the type of loans that it will buy, Fannie Mae is hoping to spur banks to make more loans to people with less-than-stellar credit ratings.

Fannie Mae officials stress that the new mortgages will be extended to all potential borrowers who can qualify for a mortgage. But they add that the move is intended in part to increase the number of minority and low income home owners who tend to have worse credit ratings than non-Hispanic whites.

I'm 45 and sadly enough, I didn't start giving a crap until about 6-8 years ago. I've been in despair from the day that I opened my eyes.

The people on the left are gloating like they won a prize. It ticks me off regardless that you dont like Romney. He was clearly a better choice to get people back to work and off the dole and to pull back while the rest of us wake the hell up and demand things change.
