Default Alright All You O Supporters

Ok here is the deal. O want's to raise taxes on the rich to balance the budget. But the fact is he will only gain 3.2 Bil a yr. The gov borrows more than that every day !!!! All this class warfare is nothing but smoke and mirrors. You lefties drool like rabid dogs about the rich but the truth is you could take everty penny from the rich, tax them 100% and it will do no good. the bottom line is there has to be drastic cuts to federal spending. Medicare and Cade need major revamping as well as SS and welfare. BUt you lefties think we can tax ourselves out of this. Not to mention what OCare will cost us. It's a joke. I hope every person in congress holds fast to no tax hikes and either forces deep spending cuts or goes over the cliff.

Heres an article for you. And before you lefties cry "Ohhh FOX News" read it and debunk it if you can. Because the real truth is you can't. I'd love to see RAM's BS he'd come up with.

Remember the U-tube vid last year where the guy shows that 100% taxation of the top 1% would pay for like 28 days of Government?

So the GOP gets to hear from 1% of the population and the D's get to hear from about 20% of the population that will actually be paying income tax for the first time in years.

How fun will that be to watch.

That's what I say. Let the Gov deal with getting all thier spending under control by forcing them to do it. Deep cuts. This is the only way to get them to do the right thing. BUT when they can't keep paying the welfare recipients and SS and Mcare and Caid you better be ready to defend your home because the havenot's will come looking for the haves to steal from.

They are doing that already. Looking at getting a Doberman for added security.

Sad that when the federal income tax was first initiated it was never to go over 8%. Taxes are like crack to politicians. Of course government handouts are like crack to lazy, useless, pieces of shit too!

Raising taxes on those making over $250k isn't enough - ATCS USN Ret's column on Newsvine

Joint Tax Committee: Raising Threshold for Bush Tax Cuts from $250,000 to $1 Million Would Lose $366 Billion

More than ever, President Obama is counting on higher taxes on wealthier families to help reduce budget deficits.

In new details on the deficit reduction plan the President proposed Wednesday, the Office of Management and Budget said the plan's $1 trillion in new tax revenues would be generated mainly by reducing or eliminating tax deductions for individuals earning more than $200,000 a year and families earning more than $250,000 annually. OMB indicated that middle class families would keep their tax breaks under the plan.

“The tax code is loaded with hundreds of billions of dollars in loopholes that help those that need it the least," OMB spokesperson Meg Reilly told FOX Business in an email response to questions about the plan "What the President called for yesterday was a bipartisan effort to reform our tax code in a way that would make it fairer, simpler and a better deal for the middle class. But he does not believe that we need to increase the burden on middle class families to do this."

    10 yrs.
This is what drives me nuts. 10 YEARS! Obama is gone in 4 yrs! WTF does 10 years have to do with anything? This how Romney allowed Obama to flim flam on how O has "cuts." Please *****.

First look at the headline, then look at the fine print (divide by 10).

Joint Tax Committee: Raising Threshold for Bush Tax Cuts from $250,000 to $1 Million Would Lose $366 Billion — Nearly Half the Revenue
Revenue Loss Would Worsen Deficits and Increase Threats to Low-Income and Other Programs

"The higher threshold would raise 44 percent — or $366 billion — less in revenue over the coming decade than the lower threshold. Citizens for Tax Justice has released estimates showing a virtually identical percentage revenue loss.
This means that policymakers ultimately would need to find $366 billion more in deficit savings to offset the cost. That would make key programs ranging from Medicare to Medicaid and other low-income programs to education, basic research, food safety, defense, and homeland security significantly more vulnerable to deep cuts. The Obama proposal to extend income tax cuts only for those with incomes up to $250,000 would achieve $829 billion in much-needed deficit reduction over the next ten years
    , "

Right, 366 Billion over 10 yrs. = $36 billion per yr. Right, a cut like that would cripple Medicare, SS, DOD, DHS, and might even slow down the amount of office furniture the govt. buys. Aargh!
