    Default Why work?

Personally I work because I believe I have a responsibility to remain productive. I was taught that this world will always have "Takers or Makers" and I was cautioned about ever crossing the line into entitlements. Too bad that this pendulum has swung so far that some are now better rewarded for sitting at home and occasionally filing your way through government program lines than it is to take a job, show up daily, work hard and actually produce something for society - besides tax dollars to feed the lazy.

"Poor" Households Getting $168 in Welfare Per Day from Taxpayers - Katie Pavlich

"The Senate Budget Committee has released a report showing households living below the poverty line and receiving welfare payments are raking in the equivalent of $168 per day in benefits which come in the form of food stamps, housing, childcare, healthcare and more. The median household income in 2011 was $50,054, totaling $137.13 per day. The worst part? Welfare payments are equivalent to making $30 per hour for 40 hours a week. The median wage for non-welfare recipients is $25 per hour but because they pay taxes, unlike welfare recipients, the wage is bumped down to $21 per hour. From the report"

Sickening isn't it? This is a part of society created by the damn liberals. Makes me furious and I see it on a daily basis.

Take those figures and add each child that the parents teach to act up in school to be diagnosed with ADD so they get an SSI check on EACH child. There is another scam where the mother is proven unfit and the grand mother is granted custody to raise the children and gets a substantial check.

And to any wonder why they roll in Escalades on 24s?

Same as is happening in Spain. No one is really looking for work because state aid pays almost as much. It's killing their economy, as well as taking the country into the shitter. Almost as bad as union welfare.

Actually Doc, I think you have how you were raised a little skewed although basically correct in nature. I think you were raised to have a certain amount of self respect and pride that these people lack. They have no respect for themselfs nor the people that keep a roof pver there heads and the stomachs full. OH, and in touch with all the other slouths they know with there government provides cell phones. They need to keep the network together you know!

I watched a documentary on the depression a couple months back. Its was a different economy, much worse than today and yet almost every single MAN insisted on WORKING for what ever assistance he received from the government. Many kept track of what they received and REPAID the government in the following years.

There is no respect in these people. In themselves, or the taxpayers that provide for them. NONE!
It is nothing more than enslavement. There is no other word for it. The taxpayer is enslaved by the government to provide for those that refuse to provide for themselves. No different that the land owners that refused to toil in the fields and enslaved blacks to do the work, these people DEMAND that WE the taxpayers provide for them, and the government sees to it that we do.
If you wish to call it something different, call it thievery. You steal for one man on the street, and give it to some undeserving person down the street and say its legal because that person had NEEDS. What that person NEEDS, is to get his ass to work and provide for himself!

Don't forget that the 109mil that create the money also has to pay the world, funny how I have not seen that on the news. Oh ya that's why we need to give the open checkbook to bozo.

We have transitioned from Gen X to Gen Y as in "why do I have to do this? Why do I have to do that? Why do I have to work?
