You will find that it is an extension of the American Jobs Creation Act of 2004 sponsored entirely by republicans and signed by President Bush.

It is another example of special interests dictating who and what to tax.

Are you seriously blaming Bush 1 for the Senates actions 2 days ago?? Or am I reading you wrong??

It's an absurd provision in the tax code that provides preferential treatment. That is why we need major reform and nobody in Washington is willing to do it.

All anyone talked about was "wealthy" Americans and tax rates. It's all bullshit.

No I am not giving a pass to any member of Congress or the President for what they passed. Either way, meaningful reform was not going to be the result of this latest political dance.

For the record, the GDP for 2004 when that reform act was signed was 4.4%. If it was designed to promote growth, we were already doing pretty well. The President and every member of Congress would love to take credit for 4.4% GDP for 2012 if they could.

Sure there are but then you guy's on the left call them extreemist and they want to starve children. Give it a rest RJ. You continue to vote for the same people who play this game everytime someone tries to cut spending. The TeaParty people have been trying to do exactly what you say needs to be done. But you guy's on the left label them as crazy people who want to throw grandma off the cliff, starve childeren, who want dierty water and air. It's a joke.
If you voted for Obama to prove you were not racist, then you better find someone else to vote for to prove your not stupid.

Your assertion would be true but there is obviously more to the Tea Party Platform than just cost cutting or they would have gained more ground. Their demographic is actually pretty consistant with much of the United States.

You think MUCH of the US is White, Highly educated, Rich Males???

The election results would suggest otherwise. Couple that with the Taxed Enough Already party's cost cutting agenda and it is clear that your post is fraught with contradiction.

I'm actually encouraged by your posts today. It appears that your "thinking" is more or less accurate, it is your means of accomplishing it that is derailed, apparently.

I'm not promoting the R's here necessarily, I think they are ALL POS at this point...but remember, YOU voted the assholes who have made up the majority for the last 6 years into office.
You have NO option but to own what is happening now.

So what? That doesn't mean Bush's free phone deal----> exploding under Obama should be continued either.
