Question What do you think about the sentence for this POS?

Lightsey was arrested after reportedly leaving her four kids, ranging in age from 1 to 11, alone in a hotel room while she went out to party. One of her kids was found flipped upside down in a stroller in the hallway. The other three were found alone in a hotel room and the room was reportedly filled with trash and was a complete disaster. Cops waited for the woman, who didn't arrive back at the hotel until 3 a.m. She was arrested.

According to Bay News 9's partner paper, the Ledger, a judge sentenced Kimberly Lightsey, 30, to two years house arrest and 13 years of probation for child neglect - as long as she agrees not to have any more children.

Frankly, I think he she should be in jail... at least 5 years. Opponents of this are usually women, and say the judge has no right to take her "right" to reproduce away. I think if he isn't going to incarcerate her, this is the least he can do.

That's a tuffy, support her in jail for 5 years or make here strugle on her own while jumping through the justice sytem hoops for 13. Maybe 6 months jail time to show her what she really faces if she doesn't figure out her priorities and then the probation afterwards. I would almost think a face like hers would be its own form of birth control but obviously I'm way off.

What we need to do is stop rewarding irresponsible behavior. Do like they do in Kentucky. If you are on assistance, you get a flat amount of assistance. No more for more kids. Make them live within their own means, not making them live within the taxpayers means!!

Her ass should be in jail though! They sure as hell would throw a father in jail for it!

She looks like a container for aids and god only knows what else. It should be against the law for her to reproduce.

    Default Liberals screaming

Yeah, the liberals are screaming the Judge can't do that.... Well, he did... What no one is talking about is that SHE had a choice in the sentencing.... Jail/prison, or probation with THESE conditions, one of which was NO more KIDS..... She could have said "NO, I want the prison sentence and then I'll have all the kids I want!!!" The Judge was perfectly within his discretion when he handed out that sentence....However, least we forget, she'll fuck up again and wind up in jail/prison, quite likely within a year, and equally quite likely, pregnant again......

The sentence seems adequate to me.
I have a little sympathy for a single parent of 4, one of them with special needs.
