What about the patriotic Americans that just want to do what is right? I dont thik WE have caved........

In missorui our Governor Jay Nixion despite hearing a RESOUNDING NOOOOOOOOOOOO from the state is pushing to expand MEDICADE... "it is the humane thing to do, it will create jobs, bla bla bla" as he flys around in his NEW jet funded by Dept Of HomeLand Security, all 5 million dollars worth...

Yesterday in Jeff City the REpublicans told him "NOOOOOOOOOO, anything like this should be considered D.O.A."

I bet that the patriotic Americans that are smart enough to NOT ascribe to the R. or D. or GREEN party havent caved in...

It's time to take back control...

    Time for a TEA party...

Maybe you could expand on this well thought out post and give an example or two of what the Repubs have caved on this time. I do agree they play the best game of "Bend over and grab your ankles" on capitol hill, but I'm curious which one of the issue's you're commenting about.

Marko Rubio, voted for allowing ILLEGALS to become LEGAL,I guess running for President,John Bahner is a POS he could just as well change to the other party as he sure has not helped us..

Please let me mow if those are sufficient for you.

The Republican party is like Dems a few years ago. Now the Democrats are socialist and the Republicans are Democrats. So all those Democrats on Perf. Boat are actually socialist. But they call themselves Democrats, so they are probably Republicans now. Now the true Conservatives do not have a party now. But probably more Libertarian or in need of a new party = This what I am looking for.

Maybe start by just researching just a little bit before you hit "Submit Reply" button.

I don't know what Boehner supposedly caved on that you're referring to, nothing has been voted on. As a matter of fact, there's not even a bill written yet regarding immigration reform from either side. Obama came to Vegas to announce his intentions on perusing an Immigration reform agenda. Rubio and others new this and tried to jump in front of Obama to take away some of his thunder. A pretty good chess move if you ask me. Everybody new Obama was going for immigration. At least some one is going on the offensive. This is the very start of this battle.

Here's the problem, as I see it:
Republicans are generally conservative - yet they are far more generous in charitable giving than democrats (easily documented)
One size does NOT fit all. There are a thousand issues to be dealt with and that number is growing as the democrats suck America into the endless black hole of debt, unemployment, anti Christian motives, firearm orders, constitutional hatred, complete ignorance of current immigration laws and on and on and on.

Too many people think the Republican party has to be 100% aligned with all membership thinking in concert to have strength and that's total BS. Tommy and I differ vastly on religious views but we will never veer away from supporting one another in our love of America and the simple "OBVIOUS" course corrections it will take to get this country back on track. We must shrink government substantially. We must reform welfare programs and encourage productivity and thrift. We must stick closely with the constitutional values that made this country strong in the first place and we must never spend more than we take in. It's really that simple so before you let the abortion or term limit issue distract you, remember that life isn't fair - we must work together to accomplish anything - and it's never the wrong time to do the right thing. You know, all the principals that democrats hate.

It's easy to be a democrat. Just watch a herd of sheep for a few minutes and follow suit believing your government can solve anything while electing the shepherd with the greenest field and don't concern yourself about the future because that will be somebody else's problem.
The best things in life aren't things!

You don't have a clue what you are talking about. Rubio and the 3 other Reps and 4 Dems actually have a good plan in my opinion. All contingent on securing the border first ! Then making them all go through a background check to weed the criminals out. Pay fines and back taxes, then getting in line behind all those who are trying to get in leagally. Which would put these people 8yrs out for citizenship. And durring that time are not eligible for any federal handouts. I support it.
If you voted for Obama to prove you were not racist, then you better find someone else to vote for to prove your not stupid.

What they have is a plan to beat the Chimp to the "Punch" to control the narrative. I though it was the first good move the Senate has done in a while, but don't hold your breath. Why Schumer is onboard I haven't figured out yet. I have to believe he cleared it with Reid and the White House. This leaves my suspicions very high. Since this is all political posturing, (no border control, no deal) it will be interesting how this farce plays out. There is no way the Democrats aren't trying to play the Republicans for fools. This is all political.

You do know there's an estimated 20 million of them here right? And who better to front this issue? He's born from immigrants, he married into an immigrant family, he grew up in an immigrant neighborhood and still lives in one. He's very bright, very articulate, Oh, and by the way, he's a proclaimed Reagan, Tea Party Conservative!
The plan that he's promoting would require border security first. Then there would be a process to obtain a Green Card, not straight to citizenship. Then all these people would have to go through the very same steps as anybody else who is seeking U.S. citizenship. This process could easily go on 15 years, all the while they would be ineligible to receive federal aid. Is all this doable? Probable not, but at least the Republicans are setting some of the narrative in the debate instead of allowing Obama to continue to bludgeon them mercilessly with social issues. Rubio has made it clear, if government can't guarantee certain triggers like boarder security, back ground checks, etc, before issuing Green Cards, he's out of the discussion.

Probably more than you asI live right near the border. What don't you understand about the fact that we have to clear this mess up ?
