Default A message from Senator Boxer

He made absolutely clear that we can’t afford to lose 1 million jobs, which is exactly what would happen if we allow the sequester's automatic spending cuts to go into effect next month.

We should also heed the President’s call to invest in a job-creating infrastructure plan, raise the minimum wage, and train our workers for new manufacturing and clean energy jobs. He made an eloquent case for fixing our nation’s broken immigration system, reducing gun violence, and ensuring that no American voter is forced to wait in line for hours to cast a ballot. And I agree with President Obama that Congress should give every responsible homeowner in America the chance to save $3,000 a year by refinancing at today’s low rates by passing my bill.

The President is right – we must do more to combat climate change, and Superstorm Sandy was a wake-up call. It is happening before our eyes, the science is clear, and we must act before it is too late. I am committed to working with my colleagues on a comprehensive solution, and I strongly support the President’s efforts to move forward with executive actions to address this serious threat.

    Sincerely,

    Barbara Boxer

    Let's see...

    Don't stop spending
    Government jobs
Pay workers more in shitty economy
    Amnesty w/o sealing border
Gun Control and registration, tracking of ammo
    Global Warming is fact

I think the only thing she left out was tax us more. I'm sure the sacred one will have that covered too though.

I can't tell is she experiencing 60's acid flashbacks, or if she never gave the stuff up. This old hag and her evil witch sisters Boxer, and Pelosi, have really worn out their welcome in Ca, at least from the working class (and CVX). Add in Jerry Brown and I don't think there's 4 people anywhere in the supposed free world that have done more damage to a once great state.

There's one in the White House that could rival their reign of destruction.

True, I was thinking at a state level. Too bad we didn't get to see a little more of what "that guy" in the White House was all about at a state level before we gave him the keys to the nation.

It's only affordable to people who want to sit on the couch and collect a Government paycheck.... Remember WE have to pay for them, cause were greedy business owners who didn't built that!!

It is only affordable for those who pay nothing for the care. All others have giant increases in their health care costs.

O has borrowed and spent 6.5 trillion dollars. Where the hell did it go. Here in Poormona we have had some alleys repaved.
Shit, for 200 billion we could do the space shuttle program again for twenty some years. I'm screaming at the top of my lungs "WHAT THE FUC_"
Need help finding this 1973 Sanger 18'6" bubble deck mahogany bottom and stringers I was living in Pomona when I sold her in 1979. Just wonder if she still exists

Update Found my old Sanger 12/7/14 in Reno.

Boss, what do you figure a family health plan costs for something decent (not HMO)... Say for a family of four???

If I had to pay out of pocket for all of my family plan it would be in the neighborhood of 19K/yr (after all my CO-pays are paid)... United Health Care POS plan... Vision and dental plan costs go ON TOP Of that...

Just who exactly is it AFFORDABLE FOR???

I pay a little under 20k, $1736 a month for insurance for a family of 4. 5 years ago it was a little under 10k.

I would say that is in line with what I was paying when I paid 100% of my own insurance from 1995 - 2000 (under 10K)...

Yep, and the silence within government in protest is deafening.

My own insurance in a small group plan was most recently $1200 per mo (just me). They canceled the group because after laying off all but 2 employees (that weren't in the group), there was just me. Purchasing insurance individually with a high deductable was $1500. Not an option. I went w/o insurance for a couple months until I could get on gf's very large group plan through her employer. Now its about $300 a month.

There's a large disparity in rates depending on where you work, what group plan is available to you. If you're not in a group you are totally screwed. To me that is wrong because everyone should be able to purchase affordable health care and not get raped. Obamacare does nothing in that regard from what I've seen.
