Default What should we do about Syria??

I would've made it a formal poll about Syria but there was no prompt for it, so.....

First, I really don't know what obama/Congress should do about the use of poison/Saran gas by the Syrian forces.. Nor do I know WHO actually used it even though the powers that be seem to be dead bang sure it was the Syrian Presidents call....
I DO feel that any repercussions should have already been done, like the day after, not the next week/month, or when ever we get around to it...
Kinda like punishing your dog on Saturday afternoon for an "indoor accident" that happened while you were out to dinner on Friday night...
So, what is the general consensus? Should we:

Do nothing. Mind our own business and allow our enemies to kill each other and the populace of the country?

Send a written message saying how much we dislike what was done?

Send a few missiles up a few camel's asses in the countryside to make some useless noise with a show of power?

Use all of our resources to find and assassinate the Syrian President in his palace with a few well placed smart bombs/missiles?

Locate and capture the Syrian President to be tried in a "World Court" for war crimes? (Like Sadamn)

Do nothing about the "gassing" incident, but arm his opposition to the teeth to assure his downfall?

Nuke the whole country. Screw them if they can't all get along?

Please voice your opinion, but please not from a "left/right", or "I hate obama" mindset. I really want to know how you guys/gals feel about this. It seems both parties are divided over this.

I say, do nothing. Those missiles cost 1.5 million each.??? (1.5M, that's what I heard someone say on some news show)...No matter what we do, we're still wasting time and money on a people/populace that hates us anyway.

    What do you think???

    Do Nothing!!!!
It's not our fight and we gain nothing by going in... The proposed attack is laughable at best....
The world knows 1/2 this country wants Barry OUT and is a pantywaist.... Either way here, Barry looses a lot of his base and is a proven WEAK and bumbling President, which we all tried to warn, but freebies here at home won....... Elections have consequences!!!!!

But Gulf states are pro-Sisi! Which means they are against Muslim Brotherhood!
Iran is pro-Hamas but Hamas is backing Muslim Brotherhood!
Obama is backing Muslim Brotherhood, yet Hamas is against the US!

Well Ray, this is a critical and fucked up situation and we all know that the Golfer in Chief is totally inept when it comes to foreign policy. He has no problem targeting Americans using UAVs (drones), why not use this technology and intel against all the bad guys in Syria. Target them and take them out Noah style, two by two. Save our Tomahawk missiles for Iran.

Just a couple insights that should be considered here:
First and foremost, there is no possible way to consider either side of this conflict a friend to America.
Second, the Kenyan will always side with "his" people at the expense of our military.
Third, our nation's most trusted ally in that entire region is Israel and both sides of this want Israel wiped out. (as does our president, truth be told)
Lastly, why on earth send our military, who has kept us free for well over a century into this no-win conflict against their will?

The whole thing is problematic, and not unlike the American Indians and the U.S. government. They warred with each other, yet they all fought against the U.S. government. And our own genocide is no different either, really. Its what you get when dealing with tribes and religious factions. Its chaotic, not single directional like Hitler. We, as a free nation(sic) pretty much swore we would never again allow a country to commit genocide on its people after Hitler. But we have, over and over. We stayed out of the war in Europe, and said it was their war not ours, until we were forced to get in. This is really no different. If we don't do something now, we will eventually have to do even more later. Count on it. But we are strapped with a pro Muslim asshole in the WH, and the country can't trust this A hole with who we back, if there even is a RIGHT side to back.

Its ALL a mute point really. I read somewhere, can't remember EXACTLY where (sic), but it was a very old book, and it says straight out, the world WILL have to deal with these POS sooner or later, and its is not going to be pretty.

Yes, I agree, sooner or later... Why not withdraw ALL American forces from the mid east, and re group to see who we're going to have to wipe out, totally like WWII with heavy bombers. We can't keep fighting these "Politically correct" wars...

Here's the deal, ever since the Korean war, we have been involved in some one else's civil war. Aside from the 1st Gulf war, that had world wide coalition, we have not fought a single war with an exit strategy, or end game. When you do this, the damn things go on forever, and never resolve shit. We still have military in S. Korea to this day, and are still dealing with dictator morons. There will be military in harms way in Iraq and Afghanistan until my grandchildren are dead and gone unless there is a major blow up in the region before that.
The ONLY time there has EVER been any resemblance of peace in the region, was when it was 100% under western control after WWII. We, the entire non muslim world, just may have to put the animals back in there cages where they ALL belong.

I have said this many times over the last ........ how many years???

There are TWO options, close our borders and live as an island to ourselves OR continue on the current path... Certainly we can be MUCHO smarter when we pick our battles than OlameO has been in the last 6 yrs, no doubt about that... Look at how he and Hillary EFFED up Egypt...

There is no way to sift out the chaff when you have thousands of miles of open borders and thousands of flights in/out of our country daily... AND the sleepers will lay and wait for 10-12-14 years if they have to...

I don't see a middle path, either we are all in, balls deep OR we keep our pee pee in our pants 100%... Anything less than ALL in and we come off looking like Germany/UK... Weak...

In the flurry of activity going on and with all of the smoke/dust, just think of the INTEL that has been gathered about the stockpiles of Sarin and other weapons that were smuggled out of Iraq WHICH we know happened... I say SMOKE EM if you got em... Lets see what Iran/Russia do in response...

As a side note, it sure is FUN to see OlameO climb down off his throne and grovel for support, does he look like the poster child for................. Man, I dont even know... BUT Im sure enjoying this...

PS I would be happy with this course of action, NONE, let them kill each other until they get tired of it. Besides, if one half of Syria kills the other half, it will be much easier for Israel to finish them off....

IMO the use of chemical weapons adds an alement that can't be ignored. I don;t know what the answer is, but I think something needs to be done not for the sake of individuals invilved (except the innocent victims) but for the sake of humanity and stability in the region as a whole. It's a complicated, convoluted situation with no real easy answer. Right now the talk is no boots on the ground. That seldom remains the case with these deals, but if that were the case, I;d have no problem going in there with tactical strikes and taking out the sources of the WMD's. I don't think we need to "choose sides" to do this if this is purely about the chem's. If it's being used as an excuse to get involved in another war, I say no way.

So you;re willing to just turn your head and look away regarding the use of WMD's?
