    Default National Parks closing

So my wife has a long scheduled hike at the Grand Canyon this weekend which has now been cancelled and moved to Havasupi Falls. Thinking about it I realized that the government actually believes they own the national parks. The Grand Canyon, Yellowstone and Yosemite are all theirs...?? I think not....

None of that land is theirs..... And they wonder why people would pick up arms to back-off the government from their lives.

The arrogance of Washington to believe they can control the Grand Canyon of all places. stunning

You bet your ass they haven't told an American Indian he can't enter the Grand Canyon.
What's next? Closed air space, or the oceans within US waters?

EVERYTHING they do during these bullshit is geared to piss you off to the point of contacting your congressman and demanding they raise the ceiling.
No different with cities that pull every cop off the street, and shut down fire stations because they didn't get every dime they claim they need. When they "cut back", they go for the jugular. Not going to cut back non essential bullshit, they go straight for the stuff with maximum impact that has near nothing to do with the excessive spending.
They don't shorten the hours the library is open, or lay off one useless POS money leach, they shut the fucker down completely.

If the govt. is truly shut down, where will the kenyan send the bill for his next round of pee wee golf? No self respecting country club would let a dope smoking, draft dodging, light in the loafers, illegal alien on their hallowed property.

I'm all in favor of dropping ALL secret service protection for past POTUSs after this asshat leaves office, to save a few budget dollars. Let him get a CC permit (after he shows proper ID and a full back round check) when he goes back to his beloved Chicago.

So, all these monuments in DC are open air, open to the public, and unguarded 24-7/365. But now that we have a shut down and we can't pay fed employees, Obama orders barricades erected and guards stationed at these monuments so the American public can't visit them.

they caved. There was going to be a riot, and they removed the barricade. The memorial and park is open.

It took less than 100 men to start the War of Independence. More people than that in that park. I don't think asshat wanted to start the second revolution in this country this week. DC already has a baaaaaad record with vets in that park.

They gave the vets a 1 week reprieve at the WWII memorial. All the rest are still barricaded from what I heard.

I read they closed the turnout/overlooks on the highway by the Grand Canyon, so you can't pull off and look at it.

The WW 2 Monument was paid for with private funds.
This tells you a lot about Obama and his administration. They hate the military and its current and former members and could give a crap about the veterns of the greatest generation as most of them did not vote for him.

It tells you all you need to know about Obamas character as a leader. This is a malicious act to cause the greatest amount of pain and inconvenience to the American people as possible. He wants to make all the ignorant voters believe this stuff is all caused by those mean, evil, cunning, Republicans. Just ask Shue!!

The WWII monument is in the national mall, an open air, un-guarded public grounds!!!!!! They are posting guards and barricades just for effect. No different than closing the WH during the sequester. Pure and simple in your face snub to the American people. He may be out of ammo this time. More and more people are not buying into his B.S. any longer.

Exactly what would happen to the Grand Canyon if the Federal Employees didn't show up? Lock the restrooms and the gift shops and nobody would miss them after one week.
