Question Newtown votes to demolish Sandy Hook School, rebuild on same site

Newtown votes to demolish Sandy Hook School, rebuild on same site

I don't get it? I can see a remodel and a memorial but....??? Surely they can find something that would be better than spending 50 million dollars on... Like paying debt???

Maybe a suspect way to spend 50 mil, but they voted on a state referendum, and as long as this is state money and not a federal grant, that's actually the democratic way of spending OP's money.

Maybe they need to tear it down.... Could be some evidence
Left and that's the only way to get rid if it....
Wouldn't want anyone to find out it was an inside job
Done by a corrupt administration in order to push gun control ...

If I had to bet, I bet on it being federally funded some way, some how.

Need to think about the children.....no real reason to remind 430 kids about what happened every day. A better choice would be to
put up trailer/classrooms where they are at now and let them graduate from there, spend a year on a remodel and start classes from there.
But hey, if conn. just happens to have a spare 50 mil laying around, do it....It is a grant, right? From the state? No strings? And the feds had absolutely nothing to do with it...right?

Yep, another crisis they couldn't capitalize on. Long Live the Constitution!!! Death of the poor kids exploited by a corrupt administration.
