Default The only man on earth...

President Obama, (the only time I'll ever say that), YOU are the only man on earth that can put an immediate stop to the murderous cowards calling themselves isis. It is time to act, and act in a way that will make "shock and awe" look like a schoolyard fist fight... It is time to hit these assholes with everything we have, including a ground force of our very best equiped fighting men, YES, on the ground, with orders to kill anything that is even close to a black flag... Smart bombs are expensive, and not needed. Napalm will work just fine to destroy isis convoys, and it's a hellofalot cheaper. Nothing works better than napalm to take the desire to fight away from an enemy. However, a further order "to take no prisoners" is exactly what this scum deserve, and every swinging dick of them need to be killed, DEAD...
Act NOW, and diddle with Congress later.
Act NOW, and say you did it "because it was the right thing to do"..
Act NOW, putting your political agenda aside for the "good of the Country, and the World".
Act NOW, and tell that useless POS Holder "there will be no criminal trials to worry about".
Act NOW, and give the mightest Military in the world the GREEN LIGHT to fight the WAR however they see fit...

Any questions? Call me, my number is no secret

First he says ISIS and ISIL is not Islam (despite the obvious acronym-apparently he's no smarter than he is honest) and then he insists these people need to be "MANAGED" not destroyed. Convincing me these are not his people will be quite the task. He's using America simply to fund and arm these killers.

Our men have been dying and being maimed on the ground for over a decade with horrible rules of engagement and with a lack of a clear objective. Many good Officers are in jail based on decisions they did to protect their men. Many good men are dead and permanently disabled because of the polices created by the fear of our forces leaving a bad perception.

Pulling out of Iraq was a major blunder. Calling for Assad to go was a blunder (as was Gahdafi and Mubarak). Supporting the rebels that were against Assad that allied with the Jihadist until the Jihadist turned on them was a blunder. The answer is not sending more good men to be maimed and killed.

In the 2000s I tried to join the Marines, I was declined because of medical reasons. Today, I wouldn't want to go, I wouldn't wish that on my neighbor, my family, my coworkers or anyone else I know.

Putting "boots on the ground" is not the answer because we will never fight to win. Fighting to win requires brutality, and we just don't have that anymore. That area of the world has been unstable for at least 7,000 years. It's not going to change by sending good men to die and be maimed.

We blew it. It's time for the Saudi's, Turks, Iranians and Pakistanis to step up and do something.

At this point in that world, America's only mission should be to contain Nuclear development and continue drone operations to eliminate leadership.

Our nation is growing tired of War physically, it's making us weak physically. Russia is testing the waters as is China. Now is not a time to waste resources fighting a Gorilla war with bad rules of Engagement.

The truth is, a lot of people need to die. People that you may even view as innocent need to die and good nations need to expand. Borders actually need to move as it did with war in the past. Without that, we'll be fighting this same battle for 200 years in the war that has lasted 7,000 years.

The best thing that can happen is that we wait for a leader who can accomplish what needs to be done.

    Default Good points Icy, but...

Icy, I said give the Military the "green light" to fight as THEY see fit. Had past politicans said that the out come of Korea and Viet Nam would have been quite different... I agree, we must fight to WIN, collateral damage be damned. Start at one end of that shithole called Iraq and kill our way to the other... And, then, take the oil, all of it, as payment for our services.... Oh, and EXPEL all the media, and make it a treasonous offense for any reporter to report anything about the conflict until it's over...
You know, there are Navy regs about relieving a Captain of a ship that becomes unfit for duty, Army regs dealing with commanders in the field, we sure as hell need a way to relieve the CIC when he demonstrates he is unable to perform the job due to a severe case of liberalism...

Not only that, but he uses ISIL instead of ISIS, which is incorrect. Here is a link that should add to clearing up his intentions:

I'm in full agreement with letting out troops run the war the way that it needs to be run but, we all know that our great leader would never let that happen. You can't expect to win a war with both hands tied behind your backs and to not be able to shoot anyone until they shoot at you and then you have to call the lawyer in charge and ask permission to shoot back. How focking bassakwards is that???

You know that will never happen. No "Green Light" will be given. No "Green light" will ever come until a leader comes to the American people and explains very clearly what needs to be done for "Victory". At the same time, us as a people have to be ready for that message. Very few people are ready for that message and today it will not be supported.. Anyone telling Obama to act is wishing a great tragedy on our American men and women volunteers who put their life on the line to protect us as a nation. The message today should be "Who will lead us to victory?", it certainly isn't Obama.

The thought of Obama putting troops on the ground, the people who he cares so little about, scares me. He is from the same party that spent a few years during the Clinton administration not knowing that officers had College degrees and looked down on them like nobodies even though there were more education than the staffers doing it. Military are scum to that party and for them to lead them into War that consists of something more than air strikes is a tragedy.
