I'm perplexed! What on earth is an "estranged parent?"
There is no way on earth I can imagine any civil human being would ever divorce his or her child.
    Parenthood is a lifelong commitment.

I understand that your kids are your kids forever, even after a divorce but that shouldn't mean that you have to pay their bills forever. I'm all for helping your kids along their journey in life but that should be the parents choice not the Courts choice as to how much money that they want or can give to the child.

Oh, believe me Steve, I know exactly what you are saying and I totally agree. The title of the article was what prompted my question about "estranged" parents. I too, would take exception with a court giving me any other adult's bills - my kids or not so we are, most definitely, on the same page there. I just don't get that phrase "estranged parents."
