I am afraid that you may be correct. I have written my representatives/senators regarding my "concerns". The reply's are pretty much "canned".
It is like "pissing in the wind".

I feel that I can't really say what I want because of the fact that we are ALL being "watched".

I read a thread from one of the Reps from Texas that had his explanation of why he voted for Speaker and then looked at the responses on his Facebook page. There were thousands of responses and I believe that there wasn't one that supported his position. They were PISSED to no end. I have a feeling that there might be some more shaking up in the House in the next election, as there damn well should be.

Most all of the political asshats are more concerned with their own careers, than in doing what they were elected to do. They all say that they will vote one way and in the end the cave to the pressure from the Speaker. He threatens them with plumb Committee seats or Chairmanships etc. All they give a shit about is getting a plumb job with a little power so they can look important. Big fucking deal. As far as I'm concerned, they should be elected for one four year term and then go home and get a real job. They don't need to hang around Washington for thirty or forty years and imbed them selves as power brokers so they can suck millions of dollars from us taxpayers and then finally retire as multimillionaires, like most of them do. Crooks, all of them

It is clear to Me that it may take a few "cycles" before these elected Representatives get the message.

Toss 'em again in the next election, and the next, and the next until FINALLY they understand that WE THE PEOPLE are tired of their shit.

Do what we elected you for or we will fire you just as fast...Rep or Dem no difference.

    Agree!

The reality is with each election, we are only sending a few reinforcements to the few conservatives who are working in the belt way cesspool, not changing the status quo. You're not going to get rid of the Boehner's and McConnell's in one or two election cycles. These are the guys who run the party, and have been running the party for quite a while. They have been imbedded in the system way too long and are too beholding to special interest groups. Also many other congressman and senators owe them favors as well. That's why it's difficult to vote them out of leadership positions. You purge the swamp from the bottom up, not top down. Each election cycle we put more pressure on the old guard and try to knock a few of them off at a time. Hopefully a few get the Eric Cantor surprise and get voted out by their own districts. That's why it's also important to keep the new guys feet to the fire and let them know they are there to work for the people.

I realize and agree to this approach, which would work in a NORMAL Constitutional Republic. Although considering things being as they are currently................WE don't have that kind of time. The toilet has already been flushed, we're doing the circles now..............just a short matter of time and we're down for the count................

Then you and all the rest of the working folks can work double shifts to pay the emperor his taxes to fund all this........Oh, lets not forget, just let him take your life savings to add to the money he needs for whatever he wants to do...........Stop voting GOP.........that's got to be the dumbest fucking thing I've heard in quite some time. Here's a thought........why don't you take your emperor and the like minded, get on a fucking plane and get the fuck out of MY Constitutional Republic and go start your own fucked up shit somewhere else................like in Kenya maybe, they'd love to have all of ya

I also feel that sense of urgency, and wonder if we can emerge from the vortex.

If you guys enjoy getting fucked your whole life keep voting GOP. Both parties are interestrd in growing Gov. And being the party in control. I know most of you will continue to vote GOP because you want your SS and the whole system to stay intact until AFTER you die. For young people who want a life with the original constitution and want to avoid a future collapse, GOP is not the answer.

Perfect example would be both Flake and McCain from Arizona. Neither will ever be re-elected in Arizona.

If the GOP is so great, why did the speaker get re-elected?

I agree with your synopsis..... but, if "GOP is not the answer", what would be your answer to this situation?

Like it or not, we have two controlling political parties and that is NOT going to change until AFTER the revolution. Therefore we must make the best out of the "sorry" hands we are dealt. Whenever patriotic Americans find a worthy outstanding candidate willing to run outside of these two parties, their votes simply dilutes the results just enough to allow the less desirable candidate, usually an extreme liberal to win the election. With that being said, not voting GOP plays right into the liberal's plan and keeping them in control...... Granted it is a "Catch 22", but I for one choose not to assist and escalate the Liberals in this manner!

I am curious, how many times did you vote for Ralph Nader?
