    Thumbs down Liberal Control

So basically they are producing more voters as well as depressing an entire class of people.

There you go, if you really think that's the way it works.
You have a great opportunity to cash in on the system.

Oh, you might want to work on your math skills.
Unemployment is at 5-7% or so, but according to your math, 1/2 is 50% sitting on their ass.
Is that some of that new math I keep hearing about?

Maybe that's why we disagree so often, I just don't understand.

The adjusted unemployment rate is at 5%. That's not the true number of people unemployed. Only the number that are still applying for unemployment.
And it's not because man people are retired. That's a fallacy.

Notice: Data not available: U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics

BTW,the HuffPo is a very left leaning organization.
U.S. Labor Force Participation Rate Lowest Since 1979

Hell yea it is the way it works. I have witnessed it. Also if the mom gets a job and starts making too much money so they decrease benefits, she will some how figure out to be claimed an unfit mother; the kids will go into custody of the grandmama. The grandmama will even get even greater benefits raising her daughters children. Then the mom will still work but have to pay the grandmama a token child support payment. I've seen it!!!!!

You are ignorant of these facts, and it is foolish to think this does not exist.

Over 50% pay no taxes. And that is for ONLY PEOPLE THAT WORK!!!

The unemployment numbers are for people that are actively seeking employment. To make it simpler, ACTIVELY LOOKING FOR A JOB!!! Sorry to scream, but any other tactics I have presented haven't worked.

And I just don't understand your track of thinking. No offense, but you must have had a sheltered upbringing. I was taught to do my share, mow the yard, do chores for the household. And I was raised to say "no sir" and "no mam" to my elders. I would tote an ass whooping if I did not! You respect your elders... sadly liberals do not do this, and the kids say "huh" instead of "sir" or "mam".

So there ya go Secret Service Jim.

    Again your wrong!
So, apparently you didn't learn it very well or have just ignored your upbringing.

Not one time have you called me Sir.
You've called me a lot of other things though.

Prove it. And give me one example of why I should call you "sir"!!! If you will display reasons why I should give you this respect, I will.

On the other hand you may have a point, there was nothing said about saying, "YES SIR OR YES MAM" to anyone.
That may explain a lot of your attitude.

You're not going to call me SIR, regardless of what I do.
You'd much rather call me something else, anyway.

Sooo jp, are you not getting the respect you think you deserve? Apparently that's the cost of your guarded attitude " i'm not comfortable putting personal info. on the internet" (including something as irrelevant as your age). With the adolescent level of your statements, positions, presented knowledge in posts etc., you have given no reason for anyone to extend any level of respect to you. You brought that on yourself, you own it.

I appreciate your concern for my well being.

But, as you so graciously quoted, (including something as irrelevant as your age), who cares unless you're a pervert.
    Are you a pervert?

One of the nice things about the internet is that if you don't like, ("With the adolescent level of your statements, positions, presented knowledge in posts etc.), then you don't have to read them.
How's that for an adolescent reply?
If you have something pertinent or a different opinion, then post it.

I really haven't given much thought about how much respect I might deserve. Should I have, on this site?

AND, WHO ARE YOU? THE MORALISTIC-RIGHT HALL MONITOR?

Regarding the 1/2 or 50% sitting on their ass: Those not looking for work are not "counted" in the 5-7 % stated unemployment rate.
