Default $4Clunkers to Healthcare... God help us!

So let me get this straight. The US government gives billions to banks and investment firms to recover the economy. They find out the companies are not putting the money back into the economy and using it for themselves with little to no effect on the economy so far. Then they come up with a plan that is a great success to stimulate sales with the great idea of a program (cash for clunkers) that could have a great impact on the economy and they totally blunder the program so far.

Now they want to run the health care system... priceless.

No they did not run out of money, they are passing more money for it, they underestimated the success of the program. That was part of my point, they don't recognize what helps the economy.

But how long do we keep adding money to it, and for how long. Dealers are concerned they wont get paid before the money runs out. Some are having customers sign an addendum to the contract holding them liable if the government does not fund them.

This will hurt all of us in the long run. Trickle down socialism.

    It will hurt:

New car dealers and manufactures... because a more more will already have "new" cars than usual.

    Used car dealers.

    Mechanics.

Auto parts manufactures, distributors, and dealers.

People with less income that cannot afford a new car or the insurance that goes with it. What can they buy if this keeps up?

The printing of more money will further devalue the dollar.

Am I missing anything? More control of the masses. Right by the liberal/socialist playbook.

The Health care reform is scary for me.
My wife and I both work in the manufacture of a prosthetic. (prescription eyeglasses)
I'm afraid to see how this will be affected.

That's why its a "blunder". If it ran smoothly I wouldn't have a point to the thread, would I?

I heard a number of about 40, 000 cars have gone through the program and we have over 60 million in the US, hardly a dent.

Are new cars made from thin air or does someone make the parts for those? What about warranty work at all the dealerships, someone needs to do it?

WASHINGTON – The government's popular "cash for clunkers" program may be running out of money after only a matter of days as car shoppers flock to dealerships to take advantage of the rebates.
The White House said Thursday it was assessing its options amid concerns the $1 billion budget for rebates for new car sales may have been depleted. The program officially began last week and has been heavily publicized by automakers and dealers.

If they can't properly implement a program to buy back "clunkers," how can I trust "them" with something as serious as my health?

    YOU CAN'T!!!
    That was simple.
    Next Question?

Sorry, I'm just so pissed off about this whole thing.
I spoke with some dealers, and they are required to take the vehicle in, drain the oil, and run it to seize the motor.
The vehicle must then be shredded, can not be parted out.
Isn't this against the idea of recycling?
Why not use the parts on other vehicles, instead of melting them down to the base materials?
I considered it recycling when I wore hand me down clothes, wouldn't this be the same.
