    Default Continuous Down Trend

Today's poll...........47% overall approval. I am surprised it is this high!

"Overall, 47% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the President's performance. That’s the lowest level of total approval yet recorded. The President’s ratings first fell below 50% just a few weeks ago on July 25. Fifty-two percent (52%) now disapprove.
Seventy-seven percent (77%) of Republicans disapprove along with 65% of those not affiliated with either party. Seventy-eight percent (78%) of Democrats offer their approval. Most women (51%) offer their approval while most men (56%) disapprove."

What republican or 33% can sit there and say they are republican and say they support him? I suspect they have no clue what a republican or conservative is.

So you're saying that 47% of the country is still completely brain dead?
"Pot had helped, and booze; maybe a little blow when you could afford it. Not smack, though" President Barack Obama.

Liberals just chose to ignore relevant information about the world they live in, and then call themselves sophisticated for having chosen to be more stupid than God made them.

Probably moderate women and minorities who are registered Republican, especially if they registered Republican for religious reasons, rather than economic.

It's hard to admit to making a bad decision, even in a blind poll. One of my friends feels everything Obama has done is better than anything Bush ever did. Yet, he is clueless to anything that has been or is being done, just blind support. He pisses me off, he inadvertently admitted one day he voted the way he did because he wouldn't vote another "white man" into office if there was an alternative and there was. Simple as that.

    Default Long term solution

First, we kill all the lawyers.
Second, we eliminate all political party affiliations. Rep, Dem, Ind, etc etc. We poll people as AMERICANS, period. We elect people as AMERICANS, period. We create a fast track system for recalling our elected officials, fast track as in 2 weeks after they stop representing the people that elected them. We clean house, literally, weeding out people that represent their "party" above the "people" they actually work for, US.....Pass a law that says no "bill" will pass w/o 3 months of discussion with the PEOPLE, just as the townhall meetings are going on now.

Feel free to add your .02 cents worth to this idea......Ray

PS Yeah I know the lawyer deal was first said by Socrates.....How far ahead of his time was that statement?

Here is an interesting fact. As the Presidents approval rating drops the Dow continues to rise, the same thing happened with Bush and most of the previous Presidents. Not sure why but it has happened in the past, here is the weird part about this, as soon as the approval rating gets in the 30% range then the Dow crashes.

I wonder if that same poll was done by Newsweek or Time the results would be the same. And I wonder if they would publish the results?

These small polls are crap. 1500 "likely" voters Hardly representative. When you look at the yahoo poll with over 2.4 mil. votes, I'd bet his approval is realistically in the 20-25% range.

The stat that jumps out at me is the 16.22% that voted for Obama, which makes me question the demographics of the poll. There must be a significant amount of Obama supporters somewhere, right? I'm still puzzled where they are. Every forum I go to, and all of the Americans I work with (mech engineer working on contract in Canada, but all coworkers are in Iowa, Nebraska, and Illinois), at LEAST 75-80% despise Obama and his policies. Granted there are always a couple token radical lefties, but not the +50% needed to win.

The Rasmussen is a scientific poll and is validated.....yes the yahoo poll has many more praticipating but it is not validated scentifically. Rasmussen has been very accurate since 2001 when he started on his own. His polls have been very acurate perdictors. check his site, www.rasmussenreports.com.
