Default you don't need mispelled signs...

you don't need nazi logos...you don't need conspiracy theories...you don't even need to make shit up about death panels...when you have the FACTS.

The FACT is...We created a system that put a burden on the health care infrastructure that it couldn't handle...costs outpaced most of the rest of the country...and with out federal govt. money the state would be unable to afford it.

The blue print for health care reform as laid out by Obama is a blue print for failure which leaves ONE argument left...every one (the wealthy (middle class)) should pay more so that every one can get the same sub-standard health care.

It's readily apparent that healthcare needs the objectivity and expertise that private industry can inject into a business decision. The Government unfortunately adds way too many cost increase factors that make it impossible to get an efficient yet cost effective plan.

But we can't escape the dilemma from the emotion of politics in trying to assemble a working plan. The article. certainly points out the majority of key issues but in the real world it's a no go with government involvement. I personally don't believe the Dem Congress and Admin care a rat's asse about cost or efficeincy, their intent is the contol of another industry.

Facts be damned with the media and this whole battle.......

I am not sure they care about 'control' so much as universal coverage, which of course plays to their base.

To them it's one and the same. The government will be in control of universal coverage.

The federal govt. already controlls medical insurance, far too much.

Why cannot an elderly person on Medicare get a prescription drug plan?
They can, IF THEY BUY FULL MEDICAL INSURANCE.
Why do insurance companies package it this way?
FEDERAL LAW states that prescription coverage can ONLY be written, as a part of a complete medical health insurance plan.

Why do elderly on Medicare/aide need a full insurance plan? They do not.
Prior to Bush's bad idea of "Medicare prescription coverage", elderly had to pay for scrips.
    Why?
Because they could not get insurance to help pay for them, UNLESS THEY BUY AN ENTIRE PLAN.

This is not the only example of laws defining what an insurance company MUST offer, but I think it's the most glaring.
If competition truly existed, we'd be able to tailor select a bennefit plan for medical insurance the same way you can tailor a car insurance plan.
Then, price would truly come down,a dn options would truly increase.

No payments on the car (lein paid), then comprehensive/collision is OPTIONAL, YOUR CHOICE.
My motorcycle policy does NOT COVER the driver injuries in an accident.
    Why not?
Becasue I am the only driver, and my Medical insurance plan covers me. I choose not to pay 2x for 2x the coverage.
The bike policy HAS coverage, for a passenger (again, MY option, selected)

Insurance companies are legally regionalized to states they can, and cannot write policies in. More federal laws that should not exist.

I agree! The only time i've had insurance was when i was in the Army, and lets face it that shit they call "government insurance" isn't worth having.
