    Default No Democrat Apologies

This is excerpted from a Michael Steele email. Joe Wilson gets all this attention for speaking out on what he heard and proved out to be a "Lie" from the mouth of the king of liars yet we never seem to get the hint of an apology from the Dems and their constant ongoing list of accusations and wrongdoing.

The cries of racism and other hypocrisies are giving a true look at what this "Party of Corruption" is all about. And personally I think it's just as well that the few hardcore leftie hypocrits that are either banned or choose to stay away from the PRF don't comment as they will only blather about "Bush did wrong too...." and try any way possible to spin the facts on how the Party they so blindly support is corrupt beyond redemption.

If the people in the below examples were Republicans, the dems and media woould be demanding resignations and immediate legal action.....

And we aren't even scratching the surface of how many members of Congress are connected in some part to ACORN deals. Wait until the full contents of that basket of s--t hits the fan!!!!!!

In another stunning example of hypocrisy, congressional Democrats wasted taxpayers' time and resources on a legislative measure to censure Congressman Joe Wilson so they don't have to talk about their exceedingly unpopular health care plan.
If we are going to march Members down to the well of the House to apologize, Joe Wilson is going to have to get in line behind Nancy Pelosi, who attacked the intelligence community who protects us, Charlie Rangel who cheated on his taxes, Jack Murtha - a walking scandal, and we all know how the Democratic leadership tried to protect convicted felon William Jefferson.
    Check it out:
    • First, Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) accuses the CIA of lying though an intelligence report indicates that she was briefed on the use of harsh interrogation tactics in 2002; contradicting her previous statements.

    • Rep. Charlie Rangel (D-NY) is under investigation for misusing rent controlled properties, avoiding taxes, and using U.S. government letterhead to raise money.

    • Reps. John Murtha (D-PA) and Peter Visclosky (D-IN) have been linked to lobbying firm PMA, which has been raided twice by FBI agents.

    • Rep. Edolphus Towns (D-NY) has refused to subpoena Countrywide Mortgage documents to investigate possible sweetheart loans; Towns received two loans from Countrywide.

    • Rep. John Conyers (D-MI) forced aides to perform personal tasks against ethics rules and had them work on "several local and state campaigns including his wife's failed bid for a seat in the state senate."
Heard any apologies from these people? Where are the outcries of the Democrat leadership?

The truth -- the Democrats don't want an apology. They want a side show -- something to shift the focus away from their government-run experiment on health care.

Exactly. But you have certain "members" here who think the right can do no wrong and the democrats are the falling of this country. Money hungry politicians are the blame for this and they wear both blue and red......................

I don't think one of the guys on here on the right has every said that the right politicians can do no wrong. Everyone on here to my memory had nothing but hate for W with the 1st TARP. Thumbs you should be able to acknowledge that.

And nothing to the extentt of what is brought upon Republicans is happening.

    Tell me why??????

If we do not hold each and everyone of these sleazeballs to the high standards they should be expected to hold to, they need to be removed, plain and simple.

Tom Delay stepped down when confronted with "alleged" campaign funding misdeeds, hasn't been formally charged because it's more of a vendetta by an out of control state/county prosecuter. Why isn't the Speaker of the House doing the same to Rangel whose tax problems are real, not alleged??????

Why must Joe Wilson stand in front of a hostile House when he already issued a personal apology, accepted by O????? Why is he different than Pelosi who has insulted both government officials and the public she works for with wild accusations??????

As long as this double standard is allowed and the Dems march to a different set of rules, nothing is ever going to change for the better of the people or the nation in which they live.

Dems and Libs are amazing how they make fun of the other side who is protesting Government in general, not just the current Admin and one side of Congress.

Why will the Left not do the same and show some objectivity and voice concerns for "both" sides?????? I hear statements of disapproval for Pelosi and Ms Clinton among a few others but see no intent to challenge them.......And as far as the great HusseinO, well he can just do no wrong inspite of all the facts and evidence. Those rose colored glasses better never wear out 'cause reality is really gonna bite some day.

Who? Don't be scared, whip out some names.
Who are the "members here" who "think the right can do no wrong"?

Then, whip out "the right" who have done "wrong" and let;'s see where the chips fall.

Better do your homework on this one, instead of just spewing stupidity.

Since Tex brings up Tom Delay, let's look at it, shall we?.

Travis County District Attorney Ronnie Earle, a Democrat, has indicted some Democratic office-holders in Texas but has mainly gone after Republicans, including an unsuccessful 1993 investigation of Republican Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison on charges of official misconduct and records tampering.

September 8, 2005: A federal grand jury indicted TRMPAC, which allegedly accepted an illegal political contribution of $100,000 from the Alliance for Quality Nursing Home Care and the Texas Association of Business, on four charges, including unlawful political advertising, unlawful contributions to a political committee and unlawful expenditures such as those to a graphics company and political candidates.

September 28, 2005: A Travis County grand jury operating under Travis County District Attorney Ronnie Earle indicted DeLay for conspiring to violate Texas state election law stemming from issues dealing with his involvement in TRMPAC.

September 30, 2005: In response to a motion to dismiss his initial indictment, Earle sought a second indictment of DeLay from a second grand jury.
That jury refused to indict. Contrary to normal Texas procedure, a "no bill" document was not publicly released, and no public announcement was made regarding the result until after Earle had presented evidence to a third grand jury and obtained an indictment. (conspiracy and money laundering)

Doesn't that look a tiny bit "suspicious", or do Democrats just call that "determined to get 'justice' "?
Earle publicly admitted that he had presented the case to three grand juries, and that one of the three had refused to indict DeLay, announced it after 5pm that afternoon/evening.

October 3, 2005: DeLay's lawyers filed a motion to throw out the charge of conspiracy to violate election law as fraudulent, claiming it was a violation of the U.S. Constitution's ban on ex-post facto applications of law. DeLay's lawyers claim that, in 2002, the crime of conspiracy did not apply to Texas election law. However, George Dix, a law professor at the University of Texas at Austin, said that charges of criminal conspiracy could legally be applied to any felony (including violation of election law) committed prior to the 2003 law.

So, trying to charge Delay with a crime, that was not legally a crime, when the act was commited.

Because the Texas Penal Code defines laundered money only as money gained as the "proceeds of criminal activity", DeLay's lawyers maintain that misuse of corporate donations, even if it occurred, could not constitute money laundering.

December 5, 2005: Judge Priest dismissed one count, conspiracy to violate election law, but let stand two counts alleging money laundering and conspiracy to commit money laundering.

April 19, 2006: The Texas Third Court of Appeals upheld the decision to dismiss the charge of conspiracy to violate election law.

May 19, 2006: Prosecutors filed an appeal to the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals, the state's highest criminal court, to reinstate the conspiracy indictment.

June 27, 2007: The Texas Court of Criminal Appeals ruled 5-4 to uphold the decisions of the lower courts and throw out the conspiracy to violate election law charge

So, as of late June 2007, he is ONLY accused of Money Laundering, and conspiracy to commit, but, no crime by which to gain the money, to conspire to launder, or, to subsequently launder.

Because of Republican party rules regarding leadership and indictments, DeLay stepped down from his position as House Majority Leader.
Apparently Democrats have no such rules................................

It is now 2009, no trial has occured, and Earle is not planning to run for re-election.

Should I mention that, in 2005 (17 October BTW), Delay requested a speedy trial?

I guess it's good he didn't request a SLOW one, he hasn't got THAT many decades to live.

I guess Earle just plans to hang this over Delay for 20 or 30 years with no resolution.

Exactly. It's very amusing when people act like the right is drinking the same kool aid as the left. Please anybody point out one person on here who claims the right can do no wrong.

I don't call people out...............don't call them names either, this way nothing gets personal. It is, afterall, the internet & we should be glad that we have the freedom to state our opinions. I don't "personally" step on another man for stating his opinions.

On that note, there are also "lefties" here that think the left can do no wrong either. Wasn't trying to call out the "righties", just merely stating an opinion.............

As stated many times before, I don't think either party is worth a shit. They all want to stuff their pockets and don't care if they gotta screw you and me to do it..............

    Now where's that cold beer???

    No, you won't.

What you WILL do, however, is make an ad-hominum attack acusation and then refuse to back it up with facts

And now try to gloss it over by saying, "the other side has 'em too", yet, you didn't care to make that accusation at the same time, in fact, not untill someone called you to the carpet.

Now, whip out the "here's where we all agree" item, so we'll forget your initial baseless and entirely unsupported accusation, which you refuse to back up, except to now back away from it, at high speed.

    Nice.
