Well, putting the signs on public property, would be criminal, "mischief".

Now, you put them up ALL OVER YOUR OWN PROPERTY, and wave at the pissed-off trolls who call the cops.

You also graciously offer the cops a coffee or doughnut when any stop by, due to calls.
Your property, nothing anyone can do.
Public light posts and power poles, technically it's illegal to staple up Yard Sale signs there too, just nobody cries stupid BS over that.

Yep, but aren't the power-utility poles owned by the power company?

Power utility poles, I belkieve are, as opposed to street-lighht poles, which are the municipality.

On telephone/power poles, that would be "vandalism" technically, or "criminal mischief" since it is someone elses private property.

Don't put one on your mailbox tho.

    Post yes, box, nope.

Barak'd sic the Postmaster General on your azz.
