Default Why Playing The Race Card Hurts Minorities.

Over the past few days I heard Jimmy Carter and Bill Cosby state that the opposition to Obama's policies are driven by racism. Although we've heard this over and over again from the left media, ACORN shills, Rangel, Jackson, and the usual suspects, Carter and Cosby are probably the first real prominent figures to play the Ace of Race.

Now I'm not so naive to think that there aren't some in this country who can't stomach the fact that there's a black man in the White House. But to paint everyone who wants answers about this man and opposes his socialist ideas and ideals with the "racist" brush is doing untold damage to blacks and other minorities who may actually suffer REAL racism.

By bantering the "R" word around at the drop of a hat, they are desensitizing the Nation against it. Those who realize the game the left is playing will shrug off the racism accusations and may even get angry at the frequency and situations it's applied to.

After seeing this for months and months on end, and probably for, at least, the next 3 years, decent, honest people will begin to see ALL accusations of racism as empty words and dismiss the accusers and charges as frivolous.

And THIS is where minorities will truly suffer.

If the left had any sense of decency, they would stop the rhetoric and concentrate on issues, lest they irreversibly damage the very people they profess to embrace.

But given the history of the Democratic Party, they will not. And by not doing so, they will continue to enslave minorities, keep them in poverty and on welfare (et al) and under their control. They do this to try and ensure that they take and maintain power.

Just as the first Civil War wasn't about black slavery, but about State's Rights, the NEXT Civil War will also focus on State's Rights, and I fear that the American Black population will again be front and center in the issues. Except that this time, the crackers will be from white mansions in Washington DC.

First of all the left has no sense of decency and second when the left has lost an arguement they pull the race card....It's what they do, they just can't help it. As for their history they want the blacks beholden to the Dem party. The only time the Democratic Party even mentions blacks is when they need their votes. I don't know who to blame more, the Dems for blatent pandering or the blacks for not being able to see this.

Yep...and when you have organizations like the NAACP that promote racism..things aren't gonna change. Just being white and voicing your opinion these days means you're racist.

It must be noted that the current resident of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue has gone on record that HE doesn't believe his criticism is based on racism.

All this while everyone around him, from his chief adviser Axlerod, Chief of Staff Rhambo, press secretary Gibbs, and every other person in his inner (and outer) circle, are on record as touting the same sorry racist mantra.

Sounds to me like the naked emperor is trying to appear "above" all the racist hoopla, while encouraging its continuation by all in his court of fools.

Remember that this is the same charlatan that was brought up in the Chicago Political Machine of Daily, Bloggo, Alinsky, Ayers, Rezco, etc., but was completely unaffected by their infulence. As if he is the ONLY Chicago politician not corrupted.

And if you believe that, I've got a bridge in Lake Havasu I can get you, real cheap.

How about some really high ground in south Louisiana?

This IS the same guy who also said, "White man's greed runs a world in need."

Or was that just taken out of context?

That's when you find out his true identity...he's not black, just pretending to be. He's acutally a "N" word. I've found this out to be true numerous times.

Plus I think the term "minority" only adds fuel to the fire. What are the exact %'s of each different race in our country?
