    Default Reagan's Myth

Reagan's myth has grown over time - CNN.com
I know how you conservatives cannonize the man, the myth, and the legend of Reagan and I couldn't help but think of all of you when I read this, especially with all the going on for his 100th birthday. I find the myth of Reagan comical as very little of it is really true and in reality was created by all those that at the altar of Reagan.

What will really be painful for all you Reaganis that Obama has taken a page out of Reagan's book and done some of the same things your saviour was able to accomplish during his time in office. Name: obama-reagan.jpg

Ram, in all honesty you really don't understand how conservatives view Reagan. Reagan was a great leader but it also must be noted the Democrat party he had to work and compromise with, was far more conservative and intelligent than the group of imbeciles that have destroyed that party. He broguht the country back from an incedible mess Carter had allowed after the Viet Nam era.

Reagan's terms restored our economy and his foreign relations' victories were unprecedented. The world's leaders respected Reagan, something the current idiot has completely failed at.

You go along with the sour grapes of the current left and tear Reagan down, but you're wrong. His record speaks for itself on what he did to right things after Carter and from what happened to CA after he left and that other liberal hero, Moonbeam Brown, came in and laid the groundwork for destruction of a state.

Socialism doesn't work and Reagan will go down in history as a man who fought that philosophy and defeated it.

You mean conservatives like Tip Oneil and Teddy Kennedy? He broguht the country back from an incedible mess Carter had allowed after the Viet Nam era.

Reagan's terms restored our economy and his foreign relations' victories were unprecedented. Paul Volcker, not Ronald Reagan, fixed the economy. And Volcker was not very popular at the time for what he did, if I remember correctly. The world's leaders respected Reagan, something the current idiot has completely failed at. I would be willing to bet the world's leaders respect Obama a lot more then they respected his stuttering predesessor.

No need to change the subject Tex.

Socialism doesn't work and Reagan will go down in history as a man who fought that philosophy and defeated it. The Soviet Union was failing on its own, and it probably would have failed whomever was sitting in the Oval Office. Reagan just got lucky by being in the right place at the right time.
Did you even read the article, or just came out swinging blindly to protect the myth you conservatives hold so dear?

Volcker raised interest rates to control inflation, odd that you would give him credit for fixing the economy. BTW, Volcker also oversaw financial deregulation, and you libs don't like that.

Why did he get fired and replaced with a real supporter of deregulation, Dipshit Greenspan? I'll answer that for you: Because he wasn't a big proponent of deregulation.

"Sarah Palin," he said, "has nothing in common with my father, a two-term governor of the largest state in the union, a man who had been in public life for decades, someone who had written, thought and spoke for decades about foreign policy issues, domestic policy issues, and on and on and on"

Btw this quote is from over 2 yrs. ago. Quite a conundrum for libs. They don't like Reagan, they don't like Palin. But to insult Palin, they say she isn't great like Reagan.

Come on SB, you know that Palin has no business even being mentioned as a possible candidate for executive office.

Your real truths forgot some things. Palin said "no thanks" to the bridge from nowhere. But the $400 million earmarked for that bridge was never returned and instead used on other projects in Alaska. That doesn't sound like someone against earmarks, just someone who wants to spend earmark funds for what she wants to spend them on. Maybe a nice shopping spree for a new wardrobe? As mayor, the same Palin who touts small government now and fiscal conservatory practiced anything but that. She not only increased the size of Wasalia's government, but ran up $20 million in debt.

Is anyone else amazed that these liberals lives are so empty given their current representation in Washington that they have to travel to Alaska or even back in time to find something to talk about politically?

We are facing the greatest financial crisis of our lives here in America and you clowns are still digging up crap in an effort to defame a person who has already made his mark on history?

Reagan almost singlehandedly won the cold war (the biggest threat in my entire life) without a single shot being fired. The Berlin Wall came down without a life lost and the USSR was dismantled as a result of his efforts. He saved our economy from Jimmy Carter's disastrous lack of leadership and returned our great nation to prosperity taking over a complete mess and you have the gall to compare this mindless Kenyan to him?

You should be drawing a parallel between Jimmy Carter with Ayatollah Khomeini and the Kenyan with Mubarak as they will likely end the same.

Is it no wonder why you are considered a troll ram? You are sad indeed.
The best things in life aren't things!
