Default Doofus Sheriff Joe strikes at crime some more ....

This old bozo sheriff just cannot stay out of the news. In his crime infested county he is now going to seek out medical marijuana users who don't follow the rules. I guess he has locked up all the Meth and Crack dealers. What a lawman hero....

Poor Z. He's among the 20% that don't like Joe. 80% however, approve of the job he is doing despite the media's constant attempt to disparage him. When traveling around the US I simply get a kick out of people when they learn I'm from Arizona. Many times their first statement is "You guys have Sheriff Joe. Now there's a law enforcement officer I would love to have in my state."

All he does is his job of enforcing laws on the books. It's comical when folks get bothered by that concept.

I hate to say it, but I completely agree with Z on this one. Cannabis, thc specifically is the most effective treatment for those going through kimo and needing relief. It very effectively reduces the nausia associated with treatment as well as helps restore the lack of appetite that occurs from kimo. Cannibas for many is also a natural sleep aid, with none of the side effects of drugs like Ambien. I know some highly productive individuals that use cannibas but don't drink a drop. The use of cannibas has far gone past the days of useless stoners. What's the worst thing you'll ever see someone stoned do, steal a bag of cheetos.

Sheriff Joe is the only thing keeping AZ from rolling over on it's back with it's feet in the air. This country needs a lot more LEO's with good old fashioned principles like he has.

Like him or not, he does a hell of a job.
I'd agree with you, but then we would both be wrong

I liked living in Arizona and having Sheriff Joe. Even when back in Canada, people here we've discussed the good about his crime fighting goodness and how we need that up here. When Vancouver decided not to bother arresting drug users, the RCMP threatned to come into the city and enforce the laws. BC went to medical marijuana and the RCMP threatened to enforce federal law. So the feds passed an exemption to their laws for medical purposes. I'll bet the Feds in the states will do simular. Except the Canadian exemption also includes hard drugs--also passed when police vowed to arrest drug users at the cities medical staffed safe heroine injection site.

They way I see it is: It seems he would have other things that would out weigh some one that broke this law of little importance. I mean it's not like there is a lack of real criminals out there that are robbing, raping, etc.

I'm betting Joe isn't neglecting the real criminals... And he did say those abusing the system, which in my experience is about 80%. Has anyone seen the ads running in the papers for Medical pot approval? 10 minutes in the doctors office, $250-500., and you're set up to skirt the law... I am not against pot, and think it should be as legal as alcohol, the leading killer in America, but I will not condemn Joe for doing his job.
